Rustic but adequate for overnight stop. Enjoyed our fire outside and heater inside. Could have done with a sponge for washing up. Difficult to get water to stay in sink.
A way to get off the grid with a feeling of comfort. Warm water and warm heater. The outdoor fire was a treat and at night the darkness was without comparison. Just wonderful.Lots to do in close by Hill end. Recommend pre booking gold fossiking and the the mine!

We had a very peaceful and relaxed stay at the cabin. Love the eco friendly lifestyle close to nature.
The trip swich goes off during lightening. It would be nice to have printed instructions on the trip box on how to restart it.
Also the GPS coordinates takes you to the neighboring property therefore its good if the guests can have the pin drop, specially if travelling at night.
It was a very relaxed and comfortable stay overall.
We stayed 4 nights, the cabins are not fancy but a great location if you like peace and quiet. No power points so bring car chargers or a power bank if you need to charge devices. Fire pit great and we cooked on that more than the single gas ring. Comfy bed, low stress with dogs due to lino floor and simple decor. We had a very unafraid mother and baby possum hang around the fire so be mindful if you have dogs and keep them on a leash at night. Not many supplies in town so if you stay more than a few nights an esky is useful, as the fridge is small. We would return!

Before checking in Irina, the owner, told us that the area had been fire-damaged and gave us the option of cancelling. We went ahead and ended up being the only guests over the Easter weekend in the three remaining cabins (three were lost in the fire). The other guests appeard to have cancelled, which was their loss. We had a BALL! The burnt bush was beautiful in its own way, and the surrounding area is gorgeous. The cabin is just that - a cabin; but comfortable and warm, with an outside firepit with endless wood which we used every night. Guests need to know that there is no Telstra service in Hill End but it is set up at the cabins. Oh, and dog-friendly as well, which was a big bonus. We highly recommend this place!

Off Grid simplicity. Was good to get away from everything.
Gas burner available for cooking use or outside fire.
We forgot our puzzles and cards. Found a puzzle on top of the fridge which was fun.
Lovely owners we will stay again.
