Great Hoke Away from Home

Only stayed a couple of nights on our fall Maine vacation but wish more of our trip had been spent here. Perfect location less than 10 minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor, a great change of pace from the hustle-bustle crowds up near Acadia & Bar Harbor. Had everything we could think to need, even cooked up a delicious lobster dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. Also appreciated how dog-friendly it was! Cecilia was very quick to respond (no issues, just a question on our end!) but the apartment felt very private despite being on the host property. Would definitely stay again.

Great Stay

The stay was absolutely great, as was the communication leading up to it. The property and location was exactly as advertised, and we couldn't have hoped for anything better. There is a huge bathroom, super clean, and two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with a day bed made into a king (not sure if it could be two twins); the futon in the living room was also super comfy. Note there are a lot of stairs to reach the apartment, but they are wide and not slippery when wet; backyard area is huge and beautiful. The owners are close by (you can see in a pic, but it was even a bit closer than it looks), but we didn't even see them during our stay (note they do have two small dogs, but again, they were not outside when we were so that's easily avoided if needed). We'd absolutely love to come back!

Great stay!

This property was exactly as advertised, and we enjoyed it immensely! It was an adorable little apartment over the barn - it was clean and spacious. The bedrooms were all super comfortable (queen bed, a day bed that was made into a king and a futon in the living room), and the bathroom was huge and the cleanest part of the house (always a bonus!!). Lots of utensils and items you'd need, and lots of suggestions about the area which was very helpful. It's in the perfect location, about a 5 minute drive to downtown and even closer to the grocery store. Our pup loved it as well, and we loved the gate thing on the deck so we could let her free on the beautiful deck.

Super clean and cute!

Very cute place to stay while in town for a family reunion. Our two adult children and their significant others also stayed with us. There was plenty of space and all the things you may need during a short stay. Also super dog friendly! Our two dogs came with us as well and all had a great time!
