The Latitude 17 Garden Room is part of a small complex right in the heart of Hopkins village. It's convenient to most of the good restaurants and cultural areas. The Garden Room is a one bedroom with bath. It was neat, clean, and well-appointed. If you wanted to cook there pots pans, utensils, cups and plates and a gas cooker and sink outside on the porch, to avoid heat and smells in the room. We enjoyed just sitting on the porch and looking at the garden that Wade has planted. One of the nicest parts of our visit was meeting Wade. He had great suggestions and guided us to the best restaurants and outdoor activities. We'd love to visit again.

Outdoor cook area gets some debris from surrounding trees, which we didn’t feel like cleaning each time we wanted to cook. We were in the Garden View, so probably to be expected. Owner was surprisingly grumpy when we leaned a bike against a post. We understand he didn’t want the paint scratched, after that. No harm done. Overall the place is very well kept and the owner was helpful in describing local places to eat and drink. Location is also well suited to access beach and grocery markets.

Centrally located. Waking distance to a grocery store and many retreatants. Well, the whole city is walking distance. Having bicycles available to use is a great feature.

Great place in Hopkins. Good location to walk to any restaurant in town. The unit was exactly as describe in the listing. Wade the host was friendly and had lots of great recommendations of things to do in the area.

Great location

The property did not disappoint. It was centrally located in the village of Hopkins, 2 minutes from the beach and within walking distance of local eateries. The property itself was delightful, in addition to being neat and tidy. The property owner was welcoming and super helpful with anything we needed.

Perfect place/ location in Hopkins

Arrived in Hopkins village on Xmas Eve via rental car. Wade met us as we pulled in and promptly greeted us with a warm welcome. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. After unloading our belongings we picked out our bikes for the week to use around town. Spent the week riding motor bikes, hiking jungle trails at Cockscomb Basin, exploring Crystal Cave, walking and swimming the local beaches,and enjoying amazing local foods. The village was so friendly, it felt more like home after a few days. Would highly recommend Latitude 17 and we will be back again soon!

Due to another guest's need for no stairs, we were upgraded to a larger unit upstairs in the front. A wonderful large covered deck with hammocks was nice but it was pretty noisy, being a few feet from the main road. Kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The grounds were landscaped and attractive. There was a grocery store a few doors away.

We are still in Belize visiting various parts of the country, but really miss Latitude 17. Our stay was wonderful, the staff is great, and you feel as if you are living among the residents. Sitting at our patio sipping coffee and watching Belizians biking & walking the street in such a stress-free environment was very relaxing. The room was very comfortable with AC, small fridge, & coffee maker. Nice bathroom and comfortable queen size bed as well. Walking distant to groceries, fruit markets, restaurant, and beach! Very Comfortable / Affordable

Wade provided wonderful accommodations. Very clean and we considered the location convenient. We were not interested in a "Resort". We wanted to vacate with the locals and experience Belize. Latitude 17 provides a wonderful base for just that and is within walking distance of everything you'll need. Wade does provide bicycles, and does offer motor cycles for rent. I do highly recommend Wade and his property. Wade's very down to earth and a great host. Make sure you have a rental vehicle (4 x 4) as you'll need it to visit various locations from Placencia to San Ignacio to Belize City. Also, American Express is recognized but seldom accepted in Belize; bring MC or Visa. Wade will take AMEX ;-) Thanks Wade and we hope to be back soon. Randee

Amazing find - Super Clean and nice A/C and Ideal Location.

Amazingly beautiful room. Very fresh feeling. Cool shining tiles throughout and a cute breakfast station. Awesome two person shower with lots of hot water. Everything looked and felt brand new. We also enjoyed the attached deck, especially at sunset. Beach - Yes, a real beach - just steps away across the street. Minutes walk left to a full grocery store, or to right to a local fruit/veggie market and several nice restaurants a few minutes walk away for lunch and evening meals. Thanks to Annette, Mirko and their team we wanted for nothing and they were always available to provide invaluable local advice. Having just returned from 32 nights in Hopkins this was a real Gem during our stay. Central location and provide Bike made exploring so much fun.

Everything you need!

The gardenview room has a nice porch, is well equiped, spacious, centrally located and very well maintained. Everything I could think of was available. We said to each other that it was done with Deutsche gründlichkeit. (Which is a compliment!!!) Even bikes were included and a little sink for dishwashing placed outside. Annet also provides laundry service and both hosts did what they could to help us make the best out of our stay. Really nothing I cann say to improve.
