Nice property. Very roomy. Pool and lake a big plus. Great sunsets. Furnishings inside a bit disappointing. The overall vacation was great. The location was close to lots of wonderful places.
We have no complaints about our stay at the property. Property manager was amazing and very accommodating and responsive. Would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to host a large group and looking for a weekend of relaxation and hidden luxury!
The property was as expected and was a pleasant place for a large group to assemble for the holidays. The Christmas tree and other decorations was an unexpected, delightful touch!

This was clearly once a truly "stunning estate" but years of disrepair have left it to be kind of sad, and certainly not in line with the price. Many issues that have previously been reported, but no effort to fix them. Problems are too numerous to list but here's a sample:- Mouse poop in cupboards- Dishwasher full of dirty dishes and falls out of cabinet when drawers pulled out- Patio door cannot be closed except by deadbolt (locks out people using the deck)- Fridge/freezer stopped working, thawing all frozen things and spoiling food- Low water pressure, sometimes no water coming out of the taps- Lights for range hood do not work- Floors have 2” gaps between boards in places- Upper bedroom door cannot close properly, even with deadbolt, constant creaking during the night with any wind gust- Upper bedroom curtain rod falls off if curtains drawn or adjusted- “Games room” smelled like old cigarette smoke and sewage- Couches had visible stains all over them- Hand soap not refilled in bathrooms or kitchen- Bedside lamp in upper bedroom has broken knob to turn on/off, must be plugged in or unplugged. Bulb flickers uncontrollably anyway and is unusable- Bedroom above games room/garage has no window coverings- Large chef’s knife found in games room while playing with small children- Deck boards for front entrance stairs are not level and seem to be rotting underneath/unsafe- Bathroom fan is installed in a hole that is the wrong size, showing rough drywall around fan

Not As Advertised, Needs repairs, Not "LUXURY," Not worth the price.
Review based on decades as renters and tenants of vacation properties. 1500 chars leaves no room for details on the good (location, gameroom, beds, grill) or rather bad (insufficient furniture, no guidebook, many minor maintenance issues like improperly attached hinges and knobs, flickering lights, stains, faulty GFI socket, loose shower drain cover, missing grout, no vacuum or plunger, etc.) 4 of 7 bedrooms were quite small, and the one w/2 beds is in a separate building. Major shortcomings: kitchen cabinets were shabby. Advertised hot tub and kitchenette did not exist. The electricity to key kitchen outlets did not work. The pool heater, AC thermostats, and clothes dryer did not work. The pool was apparently overdue for cleaning, because within a few days it was green and scummy and we no longer used it. Between all 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there was only one waste basket! Some bedrooms had neither closet nor wardrobe to hang clothes. The garage bedroom had only one dresser drawer and two nightstand drawers that were not filled with the owner’s supplies (no closet or wardrobe), and had no curtains on any of the windows, including the one that looks directly at the main house bedroom windows and is right next to the bathroom/shower. The handrail on the stairs to the lower level was held together by bungee cords, not strongly enough to be safe. The garbage shed had left-over garbage, no bins, and was not sealed against rodents, so we had to clean up a mess.
The quiet of the area and the sound of the water as we sat with the candles lit and the christmas tree lights glowing.. made the weekend too short. It was fabulous. The rooms are spacious and the beds super comfy and the comforters were just right. We walked in to a very warm and cozy atmospher and felt at home and welcomed immediatley. The kitchen exceeded our expectations and was well stocked, open and spcacious... it was simply... well...perfect! Thank you Gary for being a super and superb host!!! See you again!
