Amazing!

Loved ot here. Stayed with my mom, brother, and uncle. Very clean and had all the things we needed. Close to rhe beach and food. 10/10 experience. Host is very nice and she was always there to help.

A welcome retreat

This apartment in Urca was the right choice for our 15-night stay in Rio. Clean, spacious and well kept, it provided a tranquil refuge from all the hustle and bustle of Rio. Alessandra and Gonçalo were excellent hosts; always available to help, yet never intrusive.

Great Place to Stay

I really enjoyed this home. It looks even better than the pictures. The hosts are really nice people. They were attentive but never intrusive. There are restaurants, shops, and a local beach in walking distance. It's a great neighborhood and I felt safe at all times. If I'm back I plan to try to stay here again.

The neighborhood is away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Rio de Janeiro. The host was very helpful and gracious. I was able to practice my portuguese with her. 5 stars!

Home from Home

This is a beautiful apartment. Clean, comfortable, great view from the terrace, very well equipped, spacious. Very safe area, walking distance to supermarket, cafés, restaurants and bus services. Easy Uber pick-ups. Great location for seeing Rio. The host was absolutely wonderful. Nothing negative to say at all. Will definitely use again in future.

Lovely Stay in Urca

Finishing our three week trip to Brazil, Alessandra's place in Urca was the perfect place to start and end our days. Well-considered and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful stay

I can't express enough how much I enjoyed my stay at this apartment. It had everything you could ask for in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment was very unique with a part of Sugar Loaf Mountain designed into it, but it also was modernized and beautiful through out the apartment. But the best part were the owners. So kind and willing to help you enjoy your stay with 100% satisfaction. I normally don't fill out reviews, but I just felt this place deserved it. Thank you for having me.

Urca

This was our first time with Vrbo and we were very happy with it. A very quiet location, easy to get a taxi back into the city or walk to the cable car for Sugarloaf mountain. It was a spacious, comfortable apartment, with a friendly owner who was extremely helpful and lives upstairs so is on hand if anything is needed. There are external steps down to the apartment and some inside too, so it wouldn’t suit anyone with mobility issues. The view from the balcony is great.

Fantastic apartment, two bedroom, two bathroom. Large lounge area, separate spacious dining area with large table, seats six. Small outside balcony with view of statue of Christ the Redeemer. All utensils, crockery, cutlery supplied. Separate Laundry area beneath the outside balcony. Located in a quiet cul de sac. Area feels safe. Short walk to sea wall and little further to Urca beach. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place with Wonderful Owners!!

This property was perfect for our month in Rio. It was clean, spacious and perfectly located in our favorite neighborhood of Rio. Urca is on a beautiful bay, close to Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana and all the top attractions & beaches. There is a beautiful view of the Christ the Redeemer Statue from much of the unit, and the local restaurants and Flutuante are great. The biggest bonus of all is the wonderful owners, Alessandra and Goncalo. They couldn't be more responsive and accommodating. We thank them for being such helpful and gracious hosts!! We loved our entire experience. Muito Obrigada!!

Great home base

The area is quiet and safe, close to Sugarloaf Mountain. It is within walking distance of several restaurants. Car access and parking can be a little complicated as the streets are narrow. If you are using Uber or public transportation, it is not a problem. The hosts are very helpful, they speak multiple languages.This area (Urca) had some beautiful architecture, and felt safe, had small grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance.The trade off is it’s farther from some tourist destinations (we felt it was worth it) so plan accordingly

Authentic Experience

We loved the accommodations, historical area, walking neighborhood, Brazilian vibe, and authentic experience of visiting the country. You cannot get this type of experience from a hotel . The parking is really tight and limited in the area, but we enjoyed walking to the beach, restaurants, neighborhood grocery store—-plus there was access to public transportation & Uber was super affordable. The unit had everything we needed to have meals, Wi-Fi was a plus, and the owner was always accessible and helpful. The remnants of Sugar Loaf mountain in the space and all the framed photos of the area history, the neighborhood vibe, and the view of the Christ the Redeemer statue in the distance really made you feel connected to Brasil and Rio—-it was a good bargain, too.

Very nice, quiet and safe place.

Alessandra is very kind. She waited for us although we arrived late in the night and introduced us to the apartment. The apartment is very clean and well furnished. From the balcony we could see the Corcovado and a little piece of Botafogo bay. Urca is a very safe place to walk and relax with nice bars and restaurants. Praya vermelha is at walking distance and several buses serve other places of Rio. The apartment is confortable and offers a first direct contact with the Pan azucar!!! Home away from Home (Casa longe de casa)

We were greeted by Alessandra and her husband who warmly welcomed us to their beautiful place and provided us with all the necessary information about the apartment and the surrounding attractions. They were extremely helpful when our concert was rescheduled and kindly extended our stay. The apartment is situated in a safe and picturesque location at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is conveniently close to the Sugarloaf ride, which is only a 15-minute walk away. Also, there is a lovely and secure walk to the URCA beach, which takes only 5 minutes. Additionally, the Metro Botafogo station is easily accessible and only a 15-minute Uber ride away. The house itself is stunning and built on Sugarloaf Mountain, featuring a rock in the living room. The interior is spacious and beautifully designed. On a clear day, the balcony offers a breathtaking view of Christ's statue. Alessandra, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for sharing your wonderful home with us. Until next time.

Kurz gesagt: fantastisch. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. Wunderschöne Wohnung! Genau wie auf den Fotos! Es liegt in einer ruhigen Straße und ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Alles war zu Fuß erreichbar, von Restaurants, Supermärkten, Bars bis hin zu Geschäften usw. Alessandra und Gonzalos waren immer sehr aufmerksam, freundlichen und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung hatte alles was man braucht.

Super appartement avec beaucoup de charme !

Nous avons adoré nos trois jours passés dans cet appartement La pierre apparente on a l’impression que le salon est posé sur le pain de sucre. L’appartement est charmant, spacieux et le balcon donne sur le Christ rédempteur ( de loin). C’est très calme, on y dort très bien. Alessandra est très accueillante nous n’avons manqué de rien. Merci pour l’eau potable mise à disposition qui nous a permis de recharger nos gourdes chaque jour. Les enfants ont adoré aussi cet appartement Le quartier d’Urca est vraiment tranquille, beau et nous nous sommes sentis en securité.
