About this property

Copacabana Condo With Unsurpassed Views!

Our beautiful, completely remodeled and fully air conditioned condo is on the top floor of the Lord Nelson building on the Praca do Lido park with fabulous views that overlook Copacabana Beach as well as the famous statue of Christ, which illuminates the city. You will feel like you are on the beach without ever venturing outside! There is a queen bed in the master bedroom and a full size bed in the second bedroom. There are 2 modern bathrooms plus a 3rd bathroom in the kitchen. Full size separate American style washer and dryer are unique in Rio. Gas stove top, electric oven, standard size microwave and refrigerator are provided in fully stocked kitchen. Both Brazilian and US electrical outlets have been installed throughout the condo. Flat screen TV, Blu-ray player and wireless internet provided. The building has 24 hour doormen. This is our 2nd home so it has been lovingly maintained!

We enjoyed a 12 day stay at this beautiful condo. Everything was like the photos, clean and modern. The owner left detailed instructions, provided a welcome PDF with tips for Rio and was always responsive on WhatsApp. The views from the windows were amazing. The location was so close to the beach, to the famous wavy sidewalks, to the tour operators across the road and dozens of restaurants.

Awesome stay and location

The property was everything that was described in the listing. Check in process was simple, location was perfect with view of Copacabana Beach and Christ the Redeemer. You're in the heart of a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. Kitchen had everything you needed to make some home cooking (we made lasagna being 6800 miles away from home!). Washer and dryer were great to have, so pack light! I would highly recommend Steven and Debra's place and can't thank them enough for a great stay:)

Unforgettable week in Rio!

This penthouse apartment is perfectly situated overlooking Copacabana beach. The views out the window are sensational and but you are sufficiently far from the beach to ensure peace and quiet when you need it. Lovely apartment with wonderful views of the beach and mountains. Great place to have as a home base to come back to every night after exploring Rio and the surrounding area. Fantastic location

The location just tucked into a neighborhood on Copacabana Beach was just the perfect spot for our family. We were walking distance to a number of good cafes, to the famous Copacabana Palace where you can enjoy a beautiful spa and the BEACH, which is stunning. The apartment was clean with great views. There are a number of supermarkets nearby to get basic amenities that you might need for some basic cooking, as the apartment really didn’t have any of them on hand. The check-in process was easy and seamless and the front desk staff was welcoming. It was a lovely place to stay!

Amazing views & great location

The photos from the listing don't give the view the justice it deserves - they were breathtaking. We really enjoyed our 3-week stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment is in a great location, right across from the beach and near plenty of places to eat. We had 2 people working remotely and there was plenty of room and table space for us to work effectively. The 24/7 doormen were very nice and there is a convenient shower/foot wash station in the garage for when you are coming back from the beach covered in sand. Communication with the host was very easy and prompt. I would highly recommend and would to come back.

this unit was recently reburbished, the building is an older building and has no facilities like pool, gym etc. but great location and a reasonable price.We where just unlucky with the weather (it rained the whole week) so we missed a gym But the whle process was easy and was easy and we can recommend this unit.

The perfect location in Copacabana.

There isn't a better location along Copacabana beach than this place. A minute walk to the beach. Less than a minute walk to 2 good restaurants, a pharmacy, and a grocery store. Within 5 minutes of every service you can think of. Need a hair cut? There are 3 places within a block. Wife wants her nails done? There are 6 places within 2 blocks. Want to catch a shuttle to Corcovado? It's a couple minutes away from the front door. The apartment has a full kitchen (if none of the restaurants work for you) and a full washer and dryer. The host is also fantastic. He's there when you need him and checks in to make sure everything is going well. I'm not really sure how he could be better. The only thing I wish I had was more time to spend here.

Unsurpassed location, modern, bright and spacious!

This apartment is excellent ! It looks exactly like the pictures. Very few apartments in Copacabana have balconies or even views, and even though this place doesn't have a balcony, the large windows all open up to give it the feeling that the whole wall IS a balcony. What's even better is that most apartments only have views of the beach OR The mountains (or no view), but here you will have a panoramic, beachside view, city view and mountain views and a clear sight line to Christ The Redeemer! We were here for the New Years Eve fireworks, and watching it from the apartment will be an experience we will never forget ! The apartment is on a dead end street right across from Copacabana beach, steps away from grocery and shopping, as well as transit. The Doormen are all friendly and funny, and even though we didn't speak Portuguese, they helped us out a lot. The owner is easy to communicate with and very informative, and the property manager is very kind. (She doesn't speak English, but was a pleasure to meet.) If you are checking in late, there is a trick to the door locks, so make sure you get instructions. It's very secure ! All in all, this is a perfect vacation rental for either 2 or 4 visitors!

Why they chose this property

Our condo on Copacabana is located on the only beachside park (Praca do Lido at Posto 2) and is 2 blocks north of the famous Copacabana Palace Hotel where the elite stay when visiting Rio. In 2 minutes you can go from our living room to the wide white sand beach to enjoy the surf, play beach volleyball, beach futbol, or just enjoy walking, biking or jogging along Avenida Atlantica which is lined with beachside cafes, restaurants and artisans. Many cafes have live music in the evenings. On Thursdays there is a Farmers Market 1 block away; on weekends a craft fair sets up across the street by the park. The vans that take tourists to Tijuca Forest and up to Corcovado (where the Christ overlooks the city) leave from the park. Cardeal Arcoverde Metro stop is less than a 10 minute walk (6 blocks) from the building. Rio Sul Shopping (inside mall) is 2 bus stops away. Ipanema and Leblon beaches and restaurants are easy to get to either by metro, 10 min cab or 6 km walk. The famous Sugarloaf Cable Car (Pao de Acugar) is a 10 minute cab ride north. Evening hotspot Lapa is a 15 min cab ride.

What makes this property unique

You do not have to leave the condo to enjoy the beach! The windows of this condo offer an uninterrupted view of the entire Copacabana Beach, activity on the Avenida and the Christ in the mountains overlooking the city. Enjoy the best New Years Eve party in the world- watch and hear the live bands and view the fireworks - without leaving the condo!
The condo has been completely remodeled and has a very spacious and open feel! It is wired with both USA and Brazilian outlets and equipped with American style clothes washer and dryer. Air conditioning splits have been installed throughout the condo to create a central air feel, however they can be used selectively for those who prefer to open the windows. The condo is fully stocked for those who prefer to cook at least some meals. An American style coffee pot and hair dryer are provided. A cooler and beach chairs are also provided.
