We had an amazing stay! The property was perfect for our little family visit to such a great town. There were toys for the kids and everything else we could need. Jim was wonderful, even meeting us in person to walk through the property. If you are looking for a perfect, family friendly, charming small town retreat, you'll love this.

Amazing Spot! Do not miss out
The stay here was amazing. Our on-site contact was amazing as well. Everything you can imagine has been thought of in this 2 bedroom rental. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the woodfire stove kept the house warm all day. This is definitely going to be a place my family and I return to.
My mom and I drove to Grangeville for a weekend to visit family. We have done this in years prior but always stayed at a hotel. This was SO MUCH better than a hotel!! We will be staying here every summer when we visit. Jim was so friendly and willing to get us anything we needed. They stocked the garage with totes of toys for my young twins. We loved the peaceful scenery and all of the awesome animals. Be prepared for Junior, the friendliest cat I’ve ever met....and I have two cats. Inside there were all the amenities we needed. Thank you Jim and Susan for providing such an awesome place to stay in a small Idaho town. We can’t wait to come stay next summer.

Excellent, pet-friendly lodging!!
We could not have been more please with our stay at "A Touch of the West" apartment! The prairie scenery was beautiful and proximity to Grangeville was terrific! It took five minutes to get to anywhere in town. The western-themed apartment was beautifully appointed! The owners went out of their way to make this a delightful stay. The kitchen and pantry were very well stocked with everything one would need for cooking/baking/grilling. Appliances were in excellent condition. The wood burning stove added a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, although electric heat was available. Big screen TV, DVD player (with a few DVD's), western magazines, small library, comfortable sofa and chair, western blankets, card table/chairs made for very enjoyable activities for those wanting to stay indoors. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very nicely furnished. The bathroom was a tad chilly for crisp January mornings, but it was well-stocked with necessities that one might forget at home while traveling. The property had plenty of room to take our dog for a walk. Jim (the owner) was incredibly friendly and helpful! Just hands down, a terrific experience! We WILL stay again!
The rental was clean and quiet. The rental has everything you could think of as far as necessities. State of the art appliances, dishes, tons of comfortable bedding and towels etc. Owner was very pleasant and accommodating. It was perfect for our family of 4. I 100% recommend staying here!!!

Wonderful place to stay... quiet residence with wonderful view of valley and mountain range.. full amenity accommodation.. loved the wood stove... owners make the effort to prepare the apartment to please.. highly recommend..
We moved to the area and needed a rental until our home was ready. The care we received from Jim and Susan was beyond exceptional. I feel very lucky to have found such a great place to stay, and will miss this country setting moving to our city lot. 😢
We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, well decorated, private, and supplied with necessities. Jim is an excellent host, and made us feel right at home. We would gladly come back.
We stayed while looking for property in Idaho, it is a great place. Extremely clean, comfortable, well cared for property, private and the amenities of home. Would definitely recommend! Enjoy.
Best friends and their kids met halfway to stay at this beautiful location and comfy house! We all agreed we made the right choice. We got to hang out and even bbq like old times and feel like we had the comforts of home. I cannot wait to come back and stay longer next time! Jim went above and beyond To make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We felt like this was home away from home. I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful the property is and also peaceful. The outside had peaceful
Sitting areas and a little running stream with goldfish in it. The 3 teens loved exploring and felt at home. My oldest son has autism and was especially happy to be there. Jim gave him a turkey feather and I think he is still holding it! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever want . Very nice place to stay!

I really enjoyed meeting Jennifer and her family. Easy to have as guests and very respectful! I liked the fact that they made themselves to home and took advantage of some of what our place has to offer. We want people to relax and feel at home here. It was very nice having them and would gladly host them again anytime!
