Accommodations were excellent. Owner was very responsive to communication and helpful. Advice to anyone bringing a car- the streets around the property are extremely narrow, and the parking space is very small; a Honda fit was too large of a vehicle. However, the property is a 5 minute walk from two paid lots and a 20 minute walk from two rail stations. Excellent location for a quiet stay and cultural immersion.

A solid, budget-friendly option in the Tokyo suburbs

We had a great stay at Hayshida’s independent house! He was very prompt and helpful in all communications, from our initial inquiry through to check-in and check-out.The location is convenient—Kokubunji Station is only 15 minutes from Shinjuku, making it a good base for exploring Tokyo and beyond. Just keep in mind that it’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the house to the station, as the host accurately noted.The house is clean and functional, with a washer/dryer which came in very handy. As other guests have mentioned, the staircase to the second floor is quite steep, and the bathroom being on the first floor may not be ideal for everyone.A couple of small suggestions—adding a comfortable couch in the living room and providing a few more dishes and utensils would make the stay even better.Overall, a solid, budget-friendly option in the Tokyo suburbs. We’d definitely recommend it!

事前にしっかりと確認は大事

民泊ならでは注意点なのかも知れませんが、オーナーさんと事前にやりとりして、料金や注意点を確認しておくのは大事だなと感じました。 1.宿泊費以外にかかる費用が、事前に明示されてなかった。 宿泊費以外に、風呂使用料、キッチン使用料、がかかる事を宿泊当日に知らされた。(結果的には、かからなかったですが、何故そうなったのかは後述します。) 2.チェックアウト時間を変更出来ないか事前に相談し、全然大丈夫ですと回答もらったが。 チェックアウト直前に念の為に確認の連絡したら、延長料金がかかるとの事。結果1時間延長を無料でしてもらえました。 後述　オーナーさんとはサイトのメールでのやりとりだけなので、対面でやりとりするのと比べて誤解や行き違いが生じやすい点は、改めて注意する必要があると思います。 特に、1の宿泊費以外の料金の件も、宿泊当日にオーナーさんから宿泊に関する動画が届きます。施設の紹介や料金など。そこにキッチン使用料や風呂使用料が載ってました(サイトには無かったので、この時点で初めて知った) オーナーさんが優しく、結果的には延長料金も使用料もかからなかったのですが。紹介動画に載ってる情報と事前にサイトにある情報、オーナーさんから直接もらう情報、との間に少々相違がありました。

Why they chose this property

1.) Our place is near shinjuku(heart of tokyo). 20~30mins by Jr chuo train from kokubunji station. Make avoid the local and rapid trains and use the chuo special rapid or the holiday rapid to save time.

2.) There is another train station 10mins walk from our airbnb called Koigakubo station.it takes 4mins ride to kokubunji station via seibu-kokubunji line.

3.) From our airbnb to Kokubunji station it only takes 7mins overall, 3mins walk to the bus stop and 4mins bus ride. The bus stop name is 向ヶ丘/mukougaoka.

4.) Nearest tourist spots like Mt.Takao, Sanrio Puroland(Hello Kitty), ghibli museum in kichijouji and many more.

5.) You could also get easy access TOKYO DISNEYLAND AND DISNEY SEA from Nishi-kokubunji station using the musashino-line going to maihama station.


Our place is a residential area so it is a quiet and peaceful community. You could have time to relax properly while you are on vacation here in Tokyo. We have family mart(convinience store) nearby, 3 mins walk from our house. Near the family mart is a drug store(sun drug), taxi terminal, bus stops going to kokubunji station, park(keyaki park) with a gym/sport center and many more. There is also a grocery store(summit), 5 mins walk from our house. Above the grocery store is a japanese casino(pachinko) called “VEGAS VEGAS”. Near the grocery store is an american steak restaurant(Bronco Billy Steak House), Business suites store(Aoki) and cellphone stores(AU, SOFTBANK, yahoo mobile etc). There is a also a nearby karaoke(shidax) 5 mins walk from the grocery store. 5 mins walk from the grocery store you will find the other nearest station from the house called koigakubo station.

Guest can access the bathroom, baththub, powder room, toilet, and anything inside the bedroom like refrigerators, microwave, hairdryer etc. for free. There is a free vehicles parking lot for guests use(message me for details). Kitchen and dining area use is for free. It includes the use of dining area and television. Television has standard cable, netflix, disney+, youtube and more.
