Stairway to Heaven 1, in a family friendly area offers you the luxury of a view of the beautiful Gulf Coastline - from the Southeast to the Southwest, you will see breathtaking Sunrises and beautiful Sunsets over the City of Galveston from the decks !

Literally steps from the beach, your options are unlimited including experiencing some of the best surf fishing directly in front of the house.
This lovely Home, in a naturally landscaped environment, features beach views from all bedrooms, including the front and back covered / gated decks. The two open Living areas have furniture you will want to relax into, a large TV with Roku and there’s WiFi !
Stairway to Heaven 1, offers additional comforts, with two refrigerators ( one in laundry ) a regular drip coffee maker, tea kettle, blender, crockpot…and more!
There's seating at the Kitchen Island and two separate Dining tables, and just in case, …you'll also find a washer and dryer in the Laundry room! With over 1,400 sq. ft., our Home accommodates 11. Three Bedrooms; One Bedroom has a Queen Bed, second Bedroom has a Full Bed, and in the third is a Full Bed with a Twin Bed above.
The Two Living Room sofa’s are Queen Sleepers ( with upgraded mattresses ).

Stairway to Heaven 1, has Two full Bathrooms;
One with a full size Tub, One with a walk-in Shower that has ADA/Handicap accommodations.
And there are nice wider Hallways throughout.

Downstairs there are closed in and open shower areas - there’s also sink / fish cleaning / cooking counter areas and a charcoal BBQ pit.
There’s a double Driveway with the convenience to park under the house.
Light switches are at / near the front and back stairs, and they can also be controlled from the Laundry room upstairs!

Small dogs (under 35 pounds) allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age. The only complaint we have is the cleanliness. The bedding had stains, the chair in master had a blood stain on the seat, the floors were not cleaned before hand as well. The location and price were fantastic.

Front row home. Could use some updates but overall not bad. Not really happy with the front porch light not working & the primary bedroom door not being usable. Bathrooms could have used a better cleaning as well as the outside of the microwave was not clean. Overall we had a good stay.

Great location

Nice house, rental rate is competitive compared too other beachfront properties. Some of the furniture is pretty worn and tattered, needs replaced. Overall a very nice six day vacation on the beach.

Stairway

Loved the location.Wished there were at least one more of the tall chairs to see over, and maybe a table. Dryer took forever to dry clothes.Plenty of beds, blankets, pillows. Great view of the beach and just a short walk. Love the showers for feet and anything else downstairs.

Fantastic family getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our family of four. The kids were very cozy in their own room with plenty of movies to choose from during the evening wind downs. The front bedroom has beautiful views. We did not use the third bedroom because we didn’t need it, but having two bathrooms was great for us. The kitchen was well equipped with any type of appliance or utensil you could need we were able to make some great lunches. The living room views were amazing and the deck was perfect! You are a little close to the sister cabin but I never felt like we were intruding on them or vice versa. Access to the beach is so easy with the road right there, and the down stairs has plenty of space to park. The house is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it 100% and have said it will be our priority to make sure we book it again for our next beach trip. Some wishes: more higher deck chairs because they help maximize the view on the deck. The Adirondack chairs seat you a little low. Some touch ups on paint inside would make things more crisp looking. Some things to know if you’re booking: there isn’t a lot of storage for clothes which is not a big deal because there is a washer and dryer (bring detergent). There are a lot of remotes to the TVs. I had a time making sure we didn’t misplace them. Love this place!! Swedes was so easy to work with and check in/out times are great for maximizing vacation time and minimizing stress.

First, get satellite for your TV. Great place on the front row of beach. Really would advise staying here. Fireworks amazing, and be prepared for ongoing before and after the new year. I’m booking for next year

Thanks to the family who owns it for providing such a well-equipped, thoughtful vacation home available for rent. Swede's is super easy to book with and rent from - nothing fancy, just good people who treat you kindly. The only negative was the bed in the (we guess master BR) where the mattress was painful to sleep on, so I slept on one of the sofas, which actually gave me a great view of dawn on the beach.

Reviewer Comments: The house we reserved months ago became unavailable two days before our arrival date and Swede’s did a great job of finding a property that matched the original house with our most important requirement of the house being a true “beachfront” location. The only complaint we have about this house is that the mattresses in all three bedrooms were really bad. If not for that, this review would have been 5 star all the way down.

If you walked around the house barefoot, your feet turned black. The beds are very low quality. No wifi. If you plan to do any cooking, there is not a decent frying pan or pot with a fitting lid. A lot of lights have no working bulbs. Downstairs there are lights, but no convenient way of turning them on or off. Switches should be labeled (there are a lot of them and some we never found out what they switched on/off). Lastly, the fan in the middle bedroom of the house does not work. Other than the above mentioned, the house offers a fantastic view.

Boxes clutter the laundry room while I mention it you’ll have to put your clothes in there because three of the four closets are locked up and the fourth one is full of their towels. Beware don’t let your toes touch under the bathroom counters Because they will stick to whatever it is under there. The pantry is full of everybody’s grubby spices, and the only counterspace you have to put your things is full of used alcohol bottles and tins from cookies you don’t get. But darn, what a great location! Not to mention the smoke smell in the house and the fact that a couple of fans don’t work. Porch furniture is old and grubby and broken Darn it, fantastic location!

Love the location. This was our 2nd time to stay. Need to take a knife if you want to cut a watermelon. We took our own linens. We did have some things that were brought to Swedes attention- ice maker in fridge does not dispense, water from fridge is a trickle, broken outdoor chairs.

Stairway to a Heavenly Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked this reservation back in March. The picture of the deck view to the surf became my screen saver at work, was posted on the fridge... I hung onto that image for dear life! And, it was even better standing on that deck! Being the last house on the street, there was nothing but a couple of bunnies between us and the dunes. Each morning, we took a couple of chairs and staked out our section of beach. During the weekdays, we had plenty of space to call our own. By Friday, folks found our piece of paradise. The kids loved the water slide, Frio Loco snow cones, and learning to crab in the shallows near the ferry. Our favorite restaurant was "Nauti Beaver" with fresh crawfish, Mahi, live music, very casual atmosphere! Swede's Realty manages this property. They were more than friendly, even inviting me to come have a cup of coffee! When we had a couple of little issues in the house (Ceiling fan remotes and a dryer belt), they sent a maintenance man within minutes! I would definitely recommend this spot to friends.

I love the proximity to the sand and the ocean views. I could not find the thermostat in the home. During the night the house temperature was good. During the day it was cooler outside. I would have loved a hammock somewhere.
