We enjoyed our stay, we really liked the layout of the house as well. The area where the house was located was beautiful too. Thanks for hosting us we appreciated all the fans you purchased to help with the air conditioning problem.
The furniture and bedding was very comfortable. The house was very spacious and we had plenty of room to move around. The owners left notes on the refrigerator and cablinets letting us know who to contact if problems and labeled the cupboards letting us know if they were ites we could use. That was very helpful
Quaint little house with all the necessary amenities to get-away and explore the surrounding state parks
We really enjoyed our stay, very relaxing and the deer in the morning was an added bonus for our trip
The check in was super easy and communication was great. The house had a convenient location and was clean. However, it’s old and outdated, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. The showers were so old and stained that we didn’t shower. Also, all of the personal photos and belongings were odd.
Perfect location! property is 20-30 minutes from so many things to do & see. Great for a visit to Hocking Hills or Wayne National forest. You will feel like you're staying at grandma's house. Well kept and clean. Kitchen could use some improvement but if you can improvise --- you're good.
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. There was room to roam on the property and the setting was great. It was a good location to stay when visiting Hocking Hills. The farthest drive to Hocking Hills (Ash Cave) was just under 40 minutes.
We enjoyed our stay in Sugar Grove. The house was roomy and comfortable for five adults. We brought food for all of our meals and found everything we needed in the kitchen to put the meals together. Quick responses to questions. Would stay in this home again!

So glad the house worked out well for you all! Hope we can host you again in the future!
Property reminded me of my family’s homestead and reminded my wife of her grandparents’ house. Location was perfect for getting to parks and other activities. Neighbors were a little close, but hanging out in the back of the house (which is the main place to hang) feels very solitary.
This was our fourth year in a row renting this property. As always, the stay was awesome. Smooth check-in to a very clean and well maintained house. The new floors and furniture made us feel like we were at home. Will be back again next year.

Always happy to host your group Jamie! Glad you liked the updates to the house.
Serene country setting. All the amenities, but incredibly overpriced for its proximity to the parks and nature reserves. The add-on cleaning fee is merely more rental fee. We'll go elsewhere next time.

Robert - we appreciate you taking such good care of our home during your stay! We have actually received a lot of positive feedback reference to being able to rent a fully stocked, 1500 sf home at our rates. I think most people appreciate the cheaper rate paired with a 25 min drive to main Hocking Hills parks, in opposed to the rates for a house our size if you were any closer. Thanks again and we hope you enjoy your next trip to the area!
Our annual family reunion is in the nearby area, and in coming from Colorado I wanted to be able to stay close by. This cottage is set on a beautiful property, lots of living space, and comfortable beds. There was even a bin of toys that my three year old son loved playing with! When I first got there, the door code didn’t work, and Andrea replied right away to the phone call and gave me the new code. We even had a fire outside in the fire pit! Would stay again for sure.
So over all it was great! Country living is how we live at home, so this was very much like home.
There are a few things to know before booking ur stay.
Make sure you bring extra bath towels, wash clothes, bathroom hand towels, kitchen hand towels & dish rags as there were only 8 bath towels for 6 ppl for 6 days. And not the best towels I’d say, old. Make sure u bring trash bags as well, as there were only 2. And bring toilet paper, cuz you won’t have enough of that either!
The water pressure isn’t the best, don’t let anyone flush toilet or use water if your showering, that will help. Outside tables were VERY dirty, so had to wash to use. But overall it was a clean, dry, cool, quiet & safe place to stay!
