About this property
Quaint Georgetown Home, Walk Score 97, Wisconsin Shops & Dining, Back Yard
This quaint 130-year-old all-brick townhouse is ideally located in the heart of historic Georgetown. WALK SCORE 97! It is on a quiet one-way side street literally one block from Wisconsin Ave, your destination for cafes, restaurants, bistros, shopping and antique browsing.
The home offers ~1150 square feet over three finished levels with plentiful natural sunlight. Desirable amenities include hardwood floors, two wood burning fireplaces, skylights, a private deck, and brick patio. The main level has an open sitting area facing the fireplace and large TV, and dining area with table seating for 5. It overlooks the deck and the back yard. A fully stocked kitchen with center island greets you. Upstairs you will find a master bedroom with king bed and a second bedroom with a full bed and desk. A full bath with tub separates the two bedrooms. The lower level is an adorable full studio with sliding doors to the back patio. It features a fireplace, sitting area, queen bed, a roll-away twin bed, kitchenette and full bathroom. Fenced backyard and deck provides space for outdoor relaxation or entertaining.
Note that the home has the original floors and stairs, a quaint feature, however the stairs are steeper and narrower than you would find in today’s homes. Also, the master bedroom is open to the main floor, one floor below, (so the skylight provides light on both levels). Consequently, this home is not a good choice for toddlers or anyone challenged by stairs. Please inquire about our other properties in Georgetown.

Fantastic location, comfortable for our family of six. We had no trouble finding street parking for our van, and were then able to easily access public transportation.
Excellent stay! Townhome was clean and was advertised as promised. The host was very helpful and provided all information we would need for a fun time.

Highly recommend this beautiful Georgetown home. The three bedroom home is very clean, comfortable and a fabulous location. Walkable to so many shops and restaurants. The neighbors are friendly and helpful as well. My family and I enjoyed our stay!
Great location and very convenient space. Not a place if you’re avoiding steps as it’s a three floor row house. But, if not, it’s an amazing spot. We did nearly 3 weeks and loved it.
This property was perfect for our stay! Great location to catch a bus to the metro. Shops and dining within walking distance.

We’re so appreciative when our guests take the time to share their experience.
Yes, the shops and restaurants along Wisconsin Ave are literally just around the corner. Tatte is a great new addition for casual meals and indoor outdoor dining.
Very quaint location in the heart of Georgetown. Everything was wonderful! I will say that the temperature in the upstairs part of the house was warmer than I would've preferred during the heatwave. Lower floors were much more comfortable!

Yes, we had an extended heatwave with outside temps in the high 90s. We have a relatively new central AC system and suggests closing vents on the lower levels so cold air is directed to the top floor.
We had a sister reunion and the location was Amazing. The steps are very steep, kitchen could use an update pans etc but overall great experience

Yes, the location is amazing. It is a historic home so I make certain to state in the profile that stairs are steeper than one is accustomed to. We will take a look at the pans, we always appreciate guest feedback on improving our properties.
This location was great. A short walk to the 33 bus stop. The neighborhood was lively with lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Property was comfortable and mostly clean - except the master bath skylight let in some tree seeds and there weree little tiny ants. quiet neighborhood.
This was a perfect place for our stay in DC. It was perfectly located, close to the mall (short uber or lyft ride away), and had multiple shops and restaurants within walking distance. The house was perfect for us with the two rooms upstairs for my family and the studio downstairs for my parents. It was clean with plenty of linens and well appointed kitchen. The owner was super responsive. Would definitely stay again when in the DC area. Thank you!

Our family loved the feel of being a part of the neighborhood. It was an easy walk to public transportation, fabulous restaurants, and shopping.
Perfect location w/in walking distance of shops, reataurants, bars, galleries, etc. Stairs require getting used to and are not for elderly or impaired. Comfortable beds and living area. Minor hiccup on checkin when I had not received door code, but quickly resolved. Would stay here again.

We appreciate hearing from guests. Yes, the location is ideal, merely a block away from Wisconsin Ave and all it's shops and restaurants, yet on a quiet one-way street.
Stairs in these historic homes are steeper than we are accustomed to.
This house is in a great location. The property was extremely clean. The property has a lovely backyard. We were extremely impressed by the property management company, as they were very responsive. We made changes to our reservation, and they always answer the phone and were pleasant and helpful. We will definitely use them again.
Great property.
Information regarding the precarious stairs in the house cannot be emphasized enough.
Comfortable beds a major plus.
Great location.
Washer/Dryer situation is a nightmare.

We appreciate customer feedback as it informs us where we can improve. This is a historic Georgetown home, the stairs in most100+ year-old buildings are steeper than we are accustomed to today. There are the required hand rails and good lighting of course.
As for the washer dryer, it is a stacking unit between the two bedrooms in a closet off the second floor landing. It functions well and the operation is standard. I wish I had more information. It may be the location at the top of the stairs that was the issue. For our guests' convenience, we provide laundry soap. Beds are great adn the location is unparalleled.
