Looking for the perfect family vacation getaway? Well look no further! This sweet 3BR Cape cottage, located on the bayside of Orleans, is within walking distance of beautiful Skaket Beach. This public beach on Cape Cod Bay is known as one of the best beaches for families - a large beach with soft sand, warm clear waters, calm surf, and during low tide you can walk out over a mile onto the exposed flats and explore the tidal pools. Grab the stand up paddle board that we provide for guest use, and try it out on the calm bay waters, or hop on your bike and head to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, where you can enjoy the scenic views along this spectacular 22 mile paved trail stretching from Dennis to Wellfleet.


At the property, you will enjoy two floors of living space with a cozy fully stocked eat-in kitchen, comfortable living area with couch seating and a mounted flat screen TV above a brick fireplace (fireplace not for guest use), three bedrooms with sleeping arrangements for eight, and one full bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, including the master bedroom with a queen bed and the other bedroom also with a queen bed. The bedroom upstairs, which appears to be separate bedrooms on either side of the floor (no door), features a queen bed on one side and two twin beds on the other. Window A/C units will be installed in each bedroom to keep you and your guests cool and comfortable during those hot summer days and nights.



The property grounds are lovingly maintained and inviting, and you will surely enjoy the outdoor space, including the private yard and patio. Fire up the propane grill and enjoy a family BBQ out back on the stone patio under the shade of the umbrella. Take your showers under the clear blue summer skies in the enclosed outdoor shower, then play a few games of ping pong with the kids! Lovely short stay near Orleans

Very pleasant stay in a great part of the Cape, just a few minutes drive from great beaches, restaurants and shops. The property was clean and comfortable with a nice yard. Small kitchen but well equipped and it served our purposes. Very responsive management company. Thank you.

Cape getaway

Stayed for a few days before the busy Cape season started. We were able to walk to Skaket, but it was pretty cold and windy, so the beach wasn't inviting. Check-in was easy, house was clean, and the stay was comfortable. We happened to be there during a nor-easter and lost power. We would have appreciated more support from the host while we were in unfamiliar territory during the big storm.

Amazing location and adorable cozy home!

The property was clean and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. Such a short walk to the beautiful skaket beach where we spent most of our trip relaxing. The outdoor shower came in handy. The kitchen is admittedly small, but as long as you keep it to a minimum of 2 people cooking at once, it works great.

This is a sweet house in a wonderful location but in need of better keeping and attention, likely from the management company. It is listed as including a washer and dryer, which it should not be. Both are in a dimly lit and dirty basement one needs to access via a dark and uneven staircase. I contacted the management company about this issue immediately and was told they would reimburse me for using a laundromat, send someone to clean up the pile that had been left and implied that it was just like many basements in Cape Cod, as if I were paying thousands of dollars and somehow missing the charm of being a local doing laundry in a dungeon. I will say that the agent I spoke with upon our return home was much more helpful that the first. The house was generally clean and was otherwise tidy. The AC units work well but do not reach the kitchen, which is fine if not cooking. The pretty sofa listed is smaller in person but fine enough to fit 3 for a movie. If you have children upstairs with the AC running, they won't be able to hear you as the units are loud, which is fine but worth mentioning. There were a number of spiders each day. On the positive side, the beds are very comfortable. Ample linens. The house is pretty and the location, as mentioned, is just wonderful. The outside shower is enjoyable and the area is neat. If I were the homeowner, I would get another agent.
