This property has a wonderful location. It’s really nice to be able to walk to skaket beach. The house itself is not quite as beautiful as it looks in pictures. It is hard to stand up on one side of the bed in the queen room because of the roof. And there are some other issues along those lines - the kind that come with converting an old house. But overall, this is a solid property that I would recommend.

Great family spot

Husband and I traveled to Orleans with our 3 and 1-year olds. The house location was perfect - short distance to beaches, great restaurants and access to everything we needed. The house was clean, bright and comfortable. Layout is perfect for a family with small children. We hope to be back next year!

The Salty Hare

My family and I had a great stay at The Salty Hare in Orleans. We were a group of 5 adults and 1 dog and there was plenty of room for all of us. It is an older house, but it has been nicely updated. The house was clean and well stocked, and the beds we used were comfortable. It is perfectly situated for anything you might want to do on the Cape. And it was a great bonus that there were bikes in the garage and an entrance to a bike path just a short ride/walk up the street. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Nice house, great location

The house is charming. It was clean and well appointed. It was comfortable for a family. One thing that was inconvenient was that the only shower is in the downstairs bathroom while the majority of the bedrooms are upstairs. The location is terrific for enjoying all that Orleans has to offer. Be warned that the property manager says there is a refundable security deposit however after we left we were told that was an error and it is considered part of the fee for booking. Looking for a way to try to resolve this through VRBO. I will not use this property or any others managed by Del Mar again.

Hi Rachel! I'm so happy to hear that you loved the home and found it to be comfortable. I've asked our team to contact you to resolve the question so the security deposit as we did not hold one for your reservation. I'm sure they'll be able to get this sorted out with you!
