My 3rd 6week stay in August at Winnies. It's the best rental I've had.

Nice cabin in Ruidoso, location is strong for hiking Grindstone lake, skiing at Ski Apache or going into town to grab a bite to eat. Rooms were nice sized with comfortable beds/pillows and the living room was very comfortable. Kitchen also well equipped for making a easy meal. Would stay here again in the future.
It was a beautiful property. Great deck & view. It was beautifully appointed. Also, Laura was very responsive & accommodating.
I highly recommend this property !
Had an amazing time. The location of the property felt private and had incredible views but was still close to town. Everything was clean and well kept. We’re already planning a second trip.

From the owner: "Thank you, we are really pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay. We hope to have you back soon."
This was my second consecutive 6 week stay at Winnie's cabin. I love it. The view never gets old and the house is perfect for me, my wife and friends. The location is an easy 10 minutes to anything in town or the casinos. Plenty of wildlife come around. The area is peaceful and quiet.
I stayed in Winnie’s cabin for 6 weeks. Having rented homes in Ruidoso during the summer for four years this is the best rental I have had hands down. The view is exceptional. The house is at the end of a dead-end road so it is very private. The kitchen supplies are abundant as is the towel supply. Great gas fireplace is nice on cold mornings. Laura the property manager/owner was very responsive and helpful. Everything is as pictured in the VRBO add, upbeat and clean. The beds and furniture is very comfortable. I hope to rent it again next year.
Winnie's cabin was beautiful, clean, and nicely decorated! The view from the porch was incredible and we spent as much time out there as we could, eating, watching the wildlife, and enjoying the rain. While in a neighborhood, the porch made it feel secluded and private. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, and some small appliances. We wished there was a crockpot and more dish towels. Other than that, it had everything we needed! The location is nice and central to everything we wanted to do. The farthest we had to drive anywhere was 15 minutes. I would highly recommend staying at Winnie's Cabin!

Charming and Thoughtful
Winnie’s Cabin is full of charming and thoughtful details. The style of the cabin is more updated and slightly modern with some rustic- and farmhouse-style touches. Friendly bears greeted us at several points, a touch my daughter and I really appreciated. The furniture is comfortable, including the bean bag style lounger in the living room, and there are extras everywhere - extra linens, extra dishes, extra glassware, extra silverware, extra blankets, extra pillows, even an extra roll-away bed. There are coolers for canned and bottled drinks in the buffet in the dining area, as well, if a party needs them. If you envision sitting on the deck and enjoying a mug of hot tea or coffee, hearty-sized mugs, an electric kettle, and a coffee maker are available in the kitchen. My husband had to work remotely during part of our stay, and he says the high speed wireless internet was very good.
The mountain view from the deck and bedroom windows was picturesque. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, while our children napped or played, just breathing in the fresh air and watching the birds.
Our guest contact, Laura, was very helpful. We had a couple of needs as soon as we arrived, and she contacted the housekeeper (who was also prompt) to make sure we had what we needed. On that note, the property has baby gates available. If you need them during your stay, I recommend letting the guest contact know before your arrival. Our family’s other recommendations are to bring your own ice for drinks and to watch for the occasional spider or giant black ant. Such creatures are always around in a wooded area.
Winnie’s Cabin was a lovely place to stay, and we recommend it for families or groups of friends seeking a quiet retreat in the Ruidoso area.
