We enjoyed our stay! The cottage has everything we needed. Air conditioning was a major plus! There was also a paddle boat available which was great to be able to explore the lake. Enjoyed our girl’s weekend immensely.

We want to come back!
This house is very clean and modern with a great deck that overlooks the lake. We loved staying here and are talking about coming back!
Accommodations and amenities provided were outstanding! Very quiet, private and incredibly beautiful. We found great places around the area and enjoyed the lake. Hope to return soon!
We loved our stay at this cozy cottage on the lake! Nestled on a wooded lot with several places to sit indoors and out to enjoy the beautiful view. The house was immaculate and well-stocked with all the comforts of home. Only an hour from Muskegon & Lake Michigan. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Beautiful cottage, lots of amenities. Very clean and comfortable. We were outside most of our stay and had plenty to do - fishing, swimming, paddle boating, having campfires, etc. Short drive to grocery stores, ice cream, restaurants, etc. We loved our stay!
Perfect home and location to relax and unwind. The kitchen, complete with every thing you need to cook a quick dinner or breakfast was clean and organized.
We loved all the windows showing the wonderful trees, plants and especially the lake.
Had a wonderful stay in peak autumn with our young kids. The cottage felt like home. I loved that the property has a beautiful view on the hill but a nice flat spot of lawn for the kids to run on at the lake. We enjoyed taking the paddle boat around the island. Quiet area, very peaceful. Clean comfortable living quarters. Thank you for sharing your cottage!

So prefect!!
Thank you for this beautiful and peaceful stay! Anything you could forget they most likely have! It was all around a really peaceful and comfortable time! Thank you again soo much!
The pictures do not do it justice! We were just slightly early for the fall color change but the lake, the calmness, and the solitude was everything we were looking for. The house was immaculate, and everything we needed was within reach of wherever we needed it. Highly recommended!
The house itself and the hosts were wonderful! The house was very comfortable and had everything that we needed! No issues with the house at all. The walk down to the lake was a bit much, particularly on the way up. It is definitely not accessible for anyone who is handicap and/or can’t do a lot of stairs because they are steep. Also, the shoreline at the house is very dirty, it’s not really conducive for water play which was a bummer for our toddler. Other than these things, it was a great place to stay.

Extremely enjoyable cabin
Cabin had lots of personality. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked with a welcoming feel. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed cruising around the lake and fishing. Brian was very helpful and accessible. We were told in advance that people with limited mobility may have problems going down to lake. We avoided the stairs and walked down to Lake via the path behind the cabin and had no problems. Muskegon and Grand Rapids are only 45 minutes away for things to do on a rainy day. Would definitely rent again. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
We enjoyed the privacy of the cottage, views of the lake, and the nearby shops and restaurants in Newaygo and Croton. We had no real plans except to relax on the lake and despite all-day rain one day, we still enjoyed every minute. The covered porch was perfect for enjoying coffee during the rain and the multiple decks were nice when it wasn’t raining or just sprinkling. We all got a lot of use out of the pedal boat and the rented pontoon. The small sandbar was a fun spot to anchor the boat for the afternoon and splash in the warm, calm water.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and it was great having a washer and dryer too. We really had everything we needed, and I’m sure if we didn’t, the owner would’ve helped out.
We will be back!
This place is nautically gorgeous. Devine decorating. Very clean! Excellent communication from owner. Appliences were top notch. This place EVERYTHING you could ever even think about needing.
Great location. Perfect decks! Lawn furniture was awesome as well.
Couldn't find anything to not be psyched about.
Such a perfect weekend. This place was awesome!

Relaxing and Peaceful
We all really enjoyed our stay! The lake is relaxing and peaceful. Its small size means it's mostly kayaks, fishing and pontoon boats. We loved being able to kayak any time of the day without dealing with a bunch of motorboats. There are trees on either side of the home, so you have privacy from the neighbors. Lots of cookware, comfortable beds, great main room, and lots of deck seating to enjoy outdoor dining. The host Brian reached out to us prior to our trip and was very helpful and responsive. Also, this was our first time booking with Evolve. Everything went smoothly. Alaina answered all of my questions prior to booking.
This cottage on Pettit Lake is clean and comfortable with all amenities needed. It is such a beautiful relaxing place! Brian had great communication before and during the stay. Great fishing, sunsets, camp fires. Great swimming at the sand bar on the other side of the island. Renting the pontoon provides a full experience of the beautiful private lake. Thank you for allowing us the use of your amazing place!
