February Get Away

My husband and I were very pleased with our accomodations and host. Everything was as we expected and we had a very enjoyable time. We will go back in the summer! Loved our stay.

A Fantastic time!

Our stay was amazing. Everything was as advertised and Shelley was a great host. We saw chipmunks and lots of bird and young buck even made his way on to the property to check out the new visitors. We will 100% be staying with Shelley again and we are recommending her location to all of our family and friends. Thank you for a great vacation Shelley!

Clean, comfortable and modern.

We stayed two nights to visit relatives in the area. The accommodation was just fine - comfy and clean, easy to check in and our host Shelley was very helpful. If you are ok staying in Muskoka without a lake to jump into, this will suit you fine.

Home away from home

It is a lovely place and has a cozy feeling. It is a great area to experience being in nature and close to many activities. There were several small touches that made it an even greater experience. The hostess was available if needed and was very helpful during the entire stay. I would stay here again.

A comfortable home away from home experience!

Several added touches enhanced our weekend stay! Our host made our check in stress free and was available in the event that we required anything additional. A wonderful experience!

About the host

Hosted by Shelley Rankin

Retired corporate pilot that loves the outdoors, hiking, gardening and the Muskoka area. Loves to design permaculture properties and I am currently working on this property now as a new project.

Why they chose this property

This property is in a perfect location for all that Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Muskoka in general have to offer. It is close to town only 6 km away but you are in the country and can enjoy the quiet country atmosphere. It is close to Lake Muskoka with boat launches and beaches a short drive away.

What makes this property unique

The home has some great Muskoka views with the deer and wild turkeys wandering through on occasion. The trails are being renewed and re-cleared for your enjoyment, and signs of moose can be found along the way. There is great biking and skiing at your doorstep, as well as snowmobiling and hiking.
