Loves Road Retreat
Loves Road Retreat is a small but comfortable country home with two large bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and toilet/ bathroom. Sitting on the front porch one can enjoy beautiful views all around and ample outside seating . A heating/cooling split system with excellent internet makes this a space to suit all needs. Our property offers a beautiful natural landscape at the foot of the Otway Ranges and only 30 mins drive to Colac. We share wonderful views of the country-side and plenty of relaxing activities that help you ground and collect your thoughts. In under 10 minutes you can drive to nearby Forrest for some good coffee and local delicacies as well as the Forrest Brewery for great beer and and a yummy lunch or dinner. In 12 minutes you can drive to Birregurra to get same local produce and snacks at the Birregurra General Store as well as brilliant meals at the Royal Mail Hotel. Lorne is only 30 minutes drive to get to outstanding beachside community with so much on offer.

Hi , I’m Sandra and I’m very pleased to be able to offer you accomodation at my new retreat on Loves Road , Barwon Downs. I am a recently retired secondary school teacher pursuing my passion for work in hospitality, accomodation services and nature healing.
Why they chose this property
This property is located at the foot of the Otway Ranges and the Great Ocean Road in South Western Victoria , Australia. I have been travelling to this area my whole life and consider it a privilege to now live , work and commune here. Considered to be one of the great wonders of the world I am thrilled to be able to offer my home in such close proximity ,for others to appreciate this beautiful and unique area of the world.
What makes this property unique
Upon arriving at Loves Road one is struck by the views and stunning natural environment all around. An abundance of wildlife in Kookaburras, Rosellas, Galahs, King Parrots, Kangaroos, Wallabies , and much more. I was especially charmed with the front porch, for a cuppa or reading a good book in the afternoon sun. This home is run along sustainability principles incorporating a reduced use of plastics and appropriate recycling principles. Outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace give the home a cozy , fun , charm.
