2 BR, 2.5 bath plus detached studio/office located in the quiet, residential Professorville neighborhood of Palo Alto. This beautiful, open plan, 2 story home welcomes you to the heart of Palo Alto and is within walking distance of all that downtown Palo Alto has to offer.

The home has primary and secondary bedrooms upstairs, both with queen beds and en suite bathrooms. Living room, office, family room, dining room, kitchen and powder room are on ground floor. The rooms in the home are light filled. The kitchen includes a KitchenAid stand mixer, Cuisinart, and waffle iron. The private backyard has deck and water-wise garden. The detached studio/office is a perfect place to work.

Located 1⁄2 block from the famous HP garage, it takes only 5-10 minutes to walk to two local parks, the farmer's market, Whole Foods, and University Avenue or Town and Country Village both of which have shops and restaurants. Less than 1 mile to Stanford campus and 2.5 miles to Stanford University Hospital. 1 mile to Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Local schools are very close - Addison elementary school (2 blocks), Greene Middle School (1 mile), and Palo Alto High School (.6 miles). The Stanford campus is home to multiple sporting events, the Cantor Art Museum, the Anderson Collection of modern art, and a wide variety of music and art events.

A Home Away from Home: A Rental to Remember

House was well appointed with 2 upstairs bedrooms, queen beds and on suite bathrooms. The rooms were nice and each had a A/C window unit which we needed. The kitchen was great. The living room at the front of the house was unused by us as was the small office space that is in the back of the house and is where the half bath is located and the washer/dryer under the stairs. The small den space at the back of the house connected to the kitchen was where the TV was located. This was a disappointment as the TV was both small and old leaving us with a poor choice for movies and sports, there was also a seating issue for TV watching as there was a single couch in the room and no coffee table/ottoman. There is a nice seating area in the backyard with teak furniture but with no cushions so it’s not for lounging and with no umbrella it’s unavailable for use most of the day. There is no outdoor table for dining either, so the backyard was mostly enjoyed early in the morning. There was a remote for fence lighting and a fountain in the backyard and neither of these worked so that was also a problem for enjoyment of the backyard. There is a strange space that is connected to the garage in the backyard, like a little studio but there is only a couch and a desk, so unless someone wanted to sleep on couch or have some alone time, this space seemed out of place and was not used by us at all. The area is beautiful and quiet, 15min walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, so good location.

Short break in idyllic Palo Alto

Stunning house which has been furnished to high standard with all the optional extras! Location is perfect for walking to Stanford or University Avenue and proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping center is ideal. Host very accessible and responsive.

Great stay

We had a great stay at this property. It was a great location from which we could visit our daughter at Stanford University. Also, there are lots of restaurants within walking distance on university Ave. We would definitely stay again.
