We had so much fun living out of this adorable cabin for a week. The hot tub and skylights in the bedroom were definitely highlights. Marie is so kind and getting to feed the horses was a blast. She communicates so well and goes out of her way to make the experience amazing. We really appreciated how warm and welcomed we felt on our first trip to Canada. This is the perfect romantic getaway!!

What a lovely review and I am so glad your first experince to Canada what wonderful for you both :)
The host was great, quick to respond and very informative. We will definitely be going back again. The skylight windows are awesome at night and the hot tub is a perfect touch to this great little secluded peaceful cabin.
The cabin was welcoming to our dog, Bosso and to us. We appreciated the carpeted floors and the mats in the kitchen area for our tripod Bosso; he relaxed right away. The first couple of nights were very cold, but the cabin with the fireplace kept us nice and toasty, despite the main floor windows being a bit drafty. Another thing to keep in mind is that the steep, creaky stairs to the bedroom are a bit scary, especially with no handrail and us being 75. We were lucky to be there at full moon to watch it through the huge skylights in the bedroom. Soaking in the hot tub was also nice under the full moon. We loved the cabin location, quiet, private and with the automatic gate, we felt safe. We very much enjoyed meeting Marie and her horses, and of course, the big handsome boy, Dodge.
Place had all the basics required (towels, bedding, robes coffeetea) plenty of heaters and instructions. Wifi was great bonus, do just wish the TV had something to use to the wifi to stream but I suppose bandwidth isn't the best spent on that
Nice hot tub, very dangerous stairs that are crooked, slippery, and spaced oddly. Several notes reminding guests that they will seek compensation for damaged or stolen items made me feel very not welcome. Was going to sign the guestbook then found another note urging us not to steal garbage bags or they would be seeking compensation. Filthy dishes we couldn't use for cooking.

And I gave you a 5* -
even though you left a dirty fridge with food stuck to the walls and lots of dishes that had to be rewashed and used both 2 full rolls of paper towels( one hidden for staff)
and used/ stole 3 full rolls of toilet paper in just 2 days.
I also had staff come in early so I could accommodate your request of an early arrival. It’s people like that you are the reason the note says “Please don’t steal the toilet paper or paper towels.”
I will now lock up all extra paper products that staff need to clean thanks to you!
This was a charming cabin! A much-needed retreat from the city, combining a restful stay with exploring the area (we especially enjoyed the stone church, the orchard/bakery, and the antique store). Marie was a gracious and communicative host, and keeps the Cabin clean and well-stocked. Would definitely love to return!
This is a magical little spot. We had plans to go kayaking for a fay but once we got there we just couldn't leave. A great little getaway from the everyday.
It was very nice , quiet our dogs loved it .The hot was great for the first two days than it started turning off and on by it self and was cleaning the water but other than that it was very nice we would recommend it to friends
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was great! The owner was helpful in every way! She has beautiful horses! The area all around is so beautiful! We had a great experience in Canada!
Had a wonderful visit with just myself and my dog at Marie’s cabin. It was an extremely hot week, unfortunately but my dog and I managed! We took in some trails and had a great relaxing time.

About the host
Hosted by Marie Coutu -The Coffee Bar Inc.
We have been live on other platforms with This Log Cabin Since July of '21.and had 6 condo's downtown Toronto for 6 years as well. We love hosting couples looking to get away from the usual day to day and your dog is most welcome. Although we rarely meet you-(self check in) we are just a message away should you need anything. There are automatic gates ( You get your own remote) on the driveway so you can feel safe and secure when 'hiding out' from the world. We breed performance Quarter horses here so there are always babies to love on. You'll just have to bring the mums carrots :} Just let me know first- you can walk another 1,200' down through the woods to meet them if im not a a horse show.
Why they chose this property
We resurrected the original homestead on this property specifically for couples getaway or an escape from our busy lives. We have many many repeat clients and a few who UBER up from Toronto as we are just an hour away. We've hosted many Honeymooners, Birthdays, Anniversaries, even a marriage proposal weekend. (They all said YES!!:) But the majority of our guests come to soak up the country life and the Hot tub of course! The pictures don't explain the FEEL of this cabin. Guests have told us the pictures don't describe the feeling of being there. Read our guest book when you come. Such lovely words!
What makes this property unique
Why drive a few hours when you can save both time and fuel money? 80 kms from the CN Tower and almost all highway driving. We are 10 minutes from the top of the #404 highway. We are so easy to get to. This Private and Secluded Log Cabin is behind a gated entrance so you can feel safe and secure. (You'll get the remote for the gate with the Cabins key) The Cabin is just an hour from Downtown Toronto and just 10 minutes to the best beach within a 100 miles- 'De La Salle' on Lake Simcoe - Sandy and warm and 10 minute drive from The Cabin! Bring your boat in the summer or your sleds in the winter. We provide snow shoes in the winter and horse shoes in the summer
