This is a lovely property. Very much enjoyed our stay. Location was great. The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked. Otherwise a great place to stay while in Grand Bend.

Great stay!

I had a great time at Paul and Jen’s place. The house was clean and spacious, instructions for check in and out were clear and the place is a short walk to the beach. We encountered a minor issue upon arrival, but Paul was extremely courteous and prompt on his replies. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a visit to Grand Bend

Property was clean and fit everyone very comfortably. It is in close proximity to everything you need. Nice to have access to wifi, Netflix and other television programs. We enjoyed the outdoor deck space in the evening, especially the gas fireplace. We would highly recommend visiting their property for a visit to Grand Bend.

Quilt Retreat

We are a small group of quilters who organized a retreat using the space in the common room - it was spacious and well lit with natural light and pot lights. Everyone had their own bed and the four bathrooms were great! Overall the cottage is clean and spacious. Easy to locate and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Great hosts!

Great house in Grand Bend

This is a great property. It's a short walk to the beach, and grocery stores and other services are not far away. The property is great for a large family or group. Everything was super clean and comfortable. The kitchen is really well stocked with all the utensils you could want. There's even a cart to take your stuff to the beach, and lots of beach toys for kids. There's no negatives to this property. It's great.

A great location for the town and beach

We stayed over a long weekend with family, including my infant grandson.The cart, chairs and sand toys in the garage were very welcome.The walk to the beach was easy and not too far, but it was very hot walking back.The house was great, clean and well equipped, we didn't use the basement rooms at all. The internet worked well and we used our own Netflix account on the TV.A highchair and cot would have helped with the infant.The AC worked well on the main floor but we all found the upstairs bedrooms too hot overnight. Maybe extra thermostats in the bedrooms would have helped?Lots of tourist shops and takeouts along the main street to the beach and a well stocked supermarket a short drive away.The beach was crowded but very nice and clean otherwise.

Great location for a family/friend vacation!

Great home perfect for a family/friend vacation. Wonderful location, tons of space to hang out and kitchen was well stocked. I made some suggestions to the owner regarding having beds made upon arrival and providing linens and towels without an additional charge. I think most guests would expect that with their fee so that should be a given, not an add on. I provided some other suggestions that would easily make this location a 5 star and the owners seemed receptive. It's the attention to details that impress guests and will keep them returning year after year. Thanks for making our family vacation so memorable! Grand Bend is awesome and this location is close to everything!

Spacious home, great location but wasn’t cleanly

We were a little disappointed about the cleanliness/neatness of the home upon arrival. We found dead bugs and dust on windows and window sills, kitchen counter was left dirty with sticky substance, fridge was found with crumbs/ stains, kitchen garbages left with garbage. We had to clean a lot of it ourselves unfortunately. When we complained about this to the owners and asked for cleaning fee refund, we were denied. We will say however the home is spacious and great if you are a large group. It is also a close walk to beach and main strip which was convenient. Overall, we loved visiting grand bend, but will likely not stay here in the future.

Thanks for the feedback. Matters that were brought to my attention on your arrival were provided an immediate response and you and your husband were thankful. Upon checking out on the last day, you requested a refund on the cleaning fee charge. I provided immediate response and hoped we can discuss further but you did not respond. Kitchen counters were clean (proof photos requested no response), garbage had a single dry plastic wrapper from a new paper towel placed into the holder. A couple dead bugs outside in the window grill is something that can occur in a cottage close to the water. Our cleaners do vacuum in the window seems. Has a host we thrive to do our very best to provide outstanding accommodations for our guest and cleanliness is one of the qualities we stand firm on. Please try to be more honest in your feedback as we take it very serious.

Grand Bend Vacation

Great house! Plenty of room. 5-6 min walk to beach. Have an adult son with disability. The hilly walk to the beach was too much for him so we drove him. At the nearest beach, there's no public parking so the driver had to return to the house and walk back down. Not insurmountable, but just fyi. Found out briefly before rental that linens and towels only provided for extra fee. We had to make the beds on arrival - never experienced this in many VRBO rentals. Finally, be aware of no real outdoor space for the younger kids to play. Would also note that the main beach provides beach wheelchair for handicapped people at no charge. It can actually go into the lake, a nice plus.

Blue Coral Cottage

The house is a good size, very close to the Main Street and the beach. Nice area. Information about the rules and regulations of staying at this property were not communicated in a timely manner. Found out two days before arriving, that bedding and towels were an extra fee, document outlining expectations of the guests sent the day before. Many items should have been disclosed on the website so we could make an informed decision. Guest were required to supply their own face/wash cloths, only one garbage bag supplied, the TV had lots of apps on it but you could not access a local channel. The stove/oven was in rough shape, every time we opened the refrigerator we thought the door was going to fall off, the dishwasher bottom rack was missing a wheel. We have only stayed at one other home with VRBO so perhaps our expectations were high.
