We had a wonderful time. The home was as described. The beds were comfortable. We spent most of our time in the back yard enjoying the day and night. We used the fire pit two different night and toasted marshmallows. We cooked steaks on the grill. Even know the water level was low in the canal due to the drought there was still enough water to kayak and fish. We fished in the canal right in the back yard and caught several bass. We watched small schools of mullet travel thru every day. We enjoyed watching raccoons, wild ducks, curlews, owls, kites, and even a white peacock visit the property. We could hear the Emu’s off in the distance which was also pretty neat. The back yard was completely fence and my sister’s little Jack Russell’s loved running around and searching for lizards. The kayaks were nice but I would have to invest in a seat back if I used them regularly. Everyone used the ping pong table and footsball tables on the back porch sometime during the visit. The WiFi worked great. The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked everyday.
This place was great, pictures are very accurate, lots of space for a group of 9 to spread out. Ping pong, Giant Jenga and other games provided added tons of fun. Beds and bedding are very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great place.
This home was clean and beautifully decorated! The kids were able to fish and kayak. There are 4 pictured, however there were only two single rider kayaks when we got there. So many fun games were available and the kids were never bored! Definitely a favorite spot of mine!
We have been spending New Year's Eve at the Halls River for the past eight years but I think we finally found our home away from home. The place is perfect for our family of four, it's beautifully decorated and it has lovely outdoor and indoor spaces to relax. We were lucky enough to see manatees right from the deck and many more just a short paddle away. Needless to say we already booked our next stay!

Beautiful house
This house is so cozy and there’s a lot of things to entertaining, table tenis, game boards, kayaks… my kids really loved it !The lake in the back is really nice, we could see manatees very close !
This place is fantastic. So much to do in the house with foosball, ping pong, giant jenga and more. The sliding dock makes putting in the kayaks so easy, and you are just a few quick rows to an emu farm.
Great place and would definitely recommend.
We were there to fulfill a bucket list wish. The house was perfect for our party of 9. Our host was easy to contact if needed. We would return again.

Wonderful Place!
We had a great time here at the cottage. It was decorated perfectly and plenty roomy! Loved the fire pit and kayaks. Right down the canal (go right looking toward canal) is emu island with emus and alpacas. Just a short paddle over to Halls Ferry River. We had not explored Citrus County before and didn't know about all the fun things to do in the area - the wildlife refuge, Cracker Resort with monkey island, three sisters springs. It was a great trip! Thank you for the wonderful place to stay!

From the owner: "Thank you and we are so pleased you enjoyed our home. This area is such a great place to visit. I hope you come stay with us again!"
Property was as described in photos except there were only 2 kayaks not 4 like photo showed. Each room is uniu decorated and nice. No tv’s or fans in the rooms if you like those. Every bed has a Casper mattress. The game room is an added bonus. The yard is perfect for dogs or kids to play. The view is beautiful. We grilled dinner and sat by the fire pit. We were very relaxed and had everything we needed for our short stay. Would love to return in summer time when it’s warmer and float in the water rich in the back yard!

Great place and location
Our stay was comfortable; all of us were happy with our accommodations. Being right on the water was a great feature and we loved having the kayaks so easily accessible. It's hard to tell in the photos but the yard is fenced which is great if you have dogs. There's a big side yard for them to play/run around in. A few things in the house need attention, but my guess is that this place gets a lot of traffic and wear and tear happens. The location is just two minutes off the main road making it easy to get to anything you need, plus the attractions in both Homossassa and Crystal River. However, you feel like your in a quiet secluded area. I would definitely stay here again.

Internet/Bugs
Everything was fine but things were quite basic and there was no internet. There also were cockroaches and ants so it seemed like the house has been vacant for a while
We had a nice stay in spite of the bad weather. We had one day of decent weather and made the most of it outside. We utilized the kayaks and explored the Halls river and did a tour floating with manatees on the Crystal River. The other days were quite rainy and cool so we spent the majority of the time indoors. The house has foosball, a ping pong table, large connect four game and Jenga. We used all of them to entertain our selves. The beds are not real comfortable and the kitchen needs a few things. There are spices but bring your own salt. They do supply coffee and filters hand soap, shampoo and conditioner so that was nice. Overall a nice stay.

Friend visit
The place was very nice. Nicely decorated and appears to be newly remodeled. We had NO communication with owner. When we got to house to check in , we had not received an email with entry information so I sent an email requesting code to get in. We did not hear anything until 11:24 the following day with the access code.luckily, there was a back door unlocked from which we entered or we would have missed one day of our 3 day getaway.also, no instructions in house for check out instructions . We just winged it. No outside garbage bins to leave our garbage.microwave shoots sparks and no light in laundry room. This sounds negative and we really did enjoy the place and property was better than expected, just no communication.

Cute house but horrible experience
The location in Homosassa is nice and right on a water canal. The house is decorated very cute, but that’s all that was good with our stay. I arrived a day before my family did. When I arrived at night, I found 3 of the back doors were unlocked and one was open. Needless to say I did not feel safe! In the kitchen I noticed the inside of the kitchen drawers were dirty and there were dirty utensils in there as well. I went to go wash them, then found the kitchen sponge that needed to be thrown away with German cockroaches in it. I had to go to Publix and purchase a new sponge, dishwasher detergent and more paper towels. They only supplied one small roll. I also had to clean several spots on the floor where there was some type of sticky substance. The cleaning job was very poor. There was a breadcrumb about the size of a quarter right next to the pullout garbage can in the kitchen. I found more cockroaches in the master bathroom also. Friday we noticed the AC would not go below 75. Saturday morning I called to have someone come out and look at it. The repair guy came and unclogged the drain and then left right away. Then shortly after the AC stopped working completely we had to call and get the repair guy back out but in the meantime we had to get ready for our nephews wedding, and my son was in the wedding party. We were all taking cold showers so that we could cool down because it was in the 80s inside the house. The management team is no help! Stay away!
The rental appears nice in photos, but our stay revealed several issues that need attention. The house was not clean — dirty towels in the closet, unwashed sheets in the master, and a used sponge in the kitchen. The dryer wasn’t vented, the lint trap was wet and moldy, and there was no light in the laundry room. There were not enough hand towels or washcloths. The coffee maker only brewed halfway, and the guest shower ran either extremely hot or cold. The Wi-Fi network name didn’t match, and while the host replied quickly about that, the response didn’t resolve the problem. We also emailed twice with other questions and never heard back. The property needs better cleaning, maintenance, and management before it’s ready for guests.
this place is amazing and great for vacation. there is a canal in the backyard where you can go kayaking and it opens up to a marsh area. amazing and peaceful
