Mom,sister and her husband was there first time and they loved it. Me and my wife been coming every year and this location is been more than what we expected definitely will be back next year.
The Sky Blue Overlook was very clean and well-maintained. And we absolutely loved the view of the mountains. It felt very private. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. Would definitely consider staying here again.
We came for the view from the screen porch and were not disappointed! It's a great place to spend the day reading, talking, and just enjoying the mountains. The management was also very communicative and helpful.
Stayed a whole week, enjoyed the comfort and privacy along with great views. We ate out once a day at local places and cooked in the rest of the time. Would definitely recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at "Sky Blue Overlook"! The house is very clean, modern and the enclosed porch with the hot tub was awesome as we spent our evenings and early mornings taking in the fresh air and beautiful view. Communication with the owners was great. There are many little towns close by for food and entertainment (Andrews, Cherokee, Murphy, Bryson City). The train excursions starting in Bryson City are well worth it, but taking a drive up the mountains to see the National Forest is a must. Lots to do in this area! October is a great time of the year to see the color changing, and the weather was high 70's. The road up to the cabin is really not as abrupt, as one might assume. We drove a VW Tiguan, and did fine. I highly recommend this cabin and this beautiful area - the Nantahala National Forest, Fontana Lake, Tuckasegee River, waterfalls, etc. I also recommend visiting "Fields of the Wood" on Rt.294.
The home is beautiful! Stocked with everything we needed. The road to get up the mountain to the house is a little tricky, but worth the drive! The property manager was easy to communicate with and even stopped by to fix an issue with the hot tub. There is noise from the highway below and a few dogs in the area barked most days, however; the view trumped those two minor details. The view is AHHHH-mazing!! We enjoyed visiting Murphy (such a wonderful little burg!), visited a few water falls in the area and took the Smokey Mountain Train ride. We definitely plan on returning to the area and would love stay at 100 Marble Mountain Road again!!

Perfect in all ways!
We stayed for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. We cooked in the house, grilled our, and went out to eat as well. The views are beautiful, the hot tub nice, and the house comfortable and clean. We would definitely go back and we have already recommended it to many of our friends and family!
Very nice cabin. Wonderful view on screened in porch with hot tub.
Great property. Very new and nice. Does need more stocking in kitchen. Wonderful screened in porch with rockers and hot tub. Easy to get into even though it was on a gravel road. Great view.

Wonderful getaway
This was a perfect location to decompress!
We stopped by a local orchard and grocery on the way in. Sky Blue Overlook is located up a gravel road, on a hill. If you've ever driven on almost any gravel road, this one is probably better. I wouldn't want to drive it the first time in the dark, but go slow and you'll be fine.
The house is remarkably new, clean, and equipped. But, see that picture of the screened-in front porch? Yeah, we spent almost our entire time there. On it, you can hear the road down in the valley, but it's background noise. 40-44 dB. You can also hear a pair of local hawks, the rare plane, and both a dog and a rooster that are at least a half a mile away. The birds and the dragonfly that buzzed us were much more noticeable. Oh, and we had one vehicle drive up past, and then back, during the entire time we were there.
We did turn on the tv; it works. The wifi is great, and AT&T has cell service. Water pressure is surprisingly good, and the cleaners had turned down the thermostat so the house was 70 when we got there.
The pictures are exactly right- it's amazingly comfortable. So much so we didn't drive back out until we had to leave.
