My family stayed for 3 nights and we were the first guests of the season and everything was in great shape for us. It was very comfy and in the perfect spot for our needs.
Loved the cottage! So clean and cute. Great access to lake, amusement park, stores and restaurants.

great experience
We stayed three nights and had a great time, the place is modern rustic but that's what we wanted, walked to Arnolds park because its only 2 blocks away, plenty of space to cook, air conditioning was very cold, would rent again.
We stayed 2 nights in this sweet cabin.
It was nice inside for its small footprint.
There was no outdoor space to enjoy the lake. The cleaning fee was steep for size.

Rustic Experience
We stayed here for a family reunion. The pictures make it appear much nicer, bigger, and cleaner than reality.
When we walked in, none of the AC window units were running and it was sweltering hot. If they have someone checking in, you’d think they would at least turn that on for them? It took almost 12 hours to cool down and could barely keep up during our stay. They do provide several fans though, which we’re running full time.
The smaller bedroom barely fits one twin bed, let alone a trundle bed. Plus they didn’t provide sheets for the trundle. It was easier to sleep on the love seat, even though I am more than 6 feet tall.
The bathroom is tiny and you barely have room to turn around in the shower. Also, I know it’s an old cabin but the spiders were not pleasant surprise, especially after seeing one walk across the bed.
For the cost, I would not recommend.

Hi Tim, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We do our very best to uphold high standards of hospitality for our property and provide all of our guests with an exceptional experience.
- It's a standard protocol for our cleaners to turn on the AC units, and our property manager does a final check to ensure cleanliness and functionality before each check-in. For guest comfort, the cottage is equipped with fans and two new window AC units in the main room and master bedroom to keep it comfortably cool. Unfortunately, during your stay, an unusual heatwave affected the Midwest, which is beyond our control.
- It's important to us that guests have all the necessities for their stay. For guest use, sheets for the trundle bed can be found in the master bedroom dresser.
- We value communication with our guests and we do our best to maintain consistent availability. While you had multiple questions before the reservation, we didn't receive any contact from you in regards to any of these concerns during your stay, except for inquiring about parking for four cars.
- The cottage is in the historic district, and its size is part of its historic charm. Despite generally positive cleanliness reviews, our cleaner noted extra cleaning was needed, possibly due to the presence of children.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was super close to all the fun places in Arnold's Park and it was clean and met our expectations wonderfully! We would def. stay again!
