Stylish Boutique Loft in Gastown

Hipspace rentals presents this custom designed loft with the perfect mix of elegance and comfortability: ideal for a couple's retreat, a family visit, or a business trip. It's 1200 sq ft (120 sq metres) of unique space right in the centre of Gastown Vancouver. Our brick and beam loft has been completely restored with every modern convenience. 20 ft ceilings (6 meters) Hardwood floors, marble counter tops, king sized bed, a queen sized bed and a relaxing steam room are some of the luxury finishes.

The suite is close to many great shops, and attractions as well as Rogers Arena, BC Place, Vancouver Convention Centre, the Sea Bus, and the Skytrain to the airport. We are located in the entertainment district so there are acclaimed restaurants and bars all around us and weekends can get noisy from the street and music in the area.

Other details to note:

Depending on the season, we may not approve booking requests that leave a one night vacancy before or after the request. We also may not approve two night weekend bookings that are requested more than two weeks in advance especially in the high season we require 3-night bookings on weekends. Minimum 4-night bookings are required during the Christmas/New Years holiday, unless approved otherwise.

The unit is located on the second floor - there is no elevator.
The loft stairs inside the suite are steep and open. Not recommended for younger or unattended children, or people with mobility challenges.

If you require a pack and play, we have one that must be reserved in advance and is based on availability.

One off-site secure underground parking spot is included with this rental. The spot is located in a separate building 4 short blocks away. Detailed instructions are provided upon booking.

Pets are not allowed unless authorized by the owner prior to check in. Service animals are only permitted when assisting someone with a disability.

Totally worth it!

I would absolutely encourage anyone to stay here. I’ll do it again in a heart beat.Great location in Gastown. The space was clean, easy instructions, spacious, and cozy.Our host was great about responding in a timely manner. Communication was great. Everything I read was 100% accurate and delightful. I read previous reviews and was aware of the bar below. We were honestly excited about that so we didn’t have to travel far for drinks. The bar is fun, the people are awesome, and the food is pretty decent. Live music on the weekends which I was told has some variety. We went on a night that had brass instruments and oldies; it was awesome. It does get a bit noisy and you can hear it inside but if you close the window, it’s just fine. Reviews about homelessness are true but not close to the building. It is heavy in town. We encountered some but nothing made it undesirable, nor did anyone really bother us when standing outside or walking around even at night. All in all well worth the experience, price and time. Stay here!

The Gastown Luxury Loft was a perfect location for our family and friends to stay at.

We stayed at the Gastown Luxury Loft in March and found the location to be clean, located close to restaurants and quiet at night even with a bar below. Mei-Ling responded to our questions quickly. The kitchen is well stocked, and we found everything we needed at the loft to make our stay comfortable. We would recommend this location to family and friends..

Luxurious stay in historic Gastown

My husband, teen daughter, and I stayed here 3 nights and this apartment surpassed our expectations. The space is bright and airy, with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds, bedding, and towels. In close proximity to shopping and some great restaurants but so quiet, even when the bar downstairs was busy.thevdownstairs

Fun Thanksgiving in Vancouver

A wonderful 5 days enjoying all the Vancouver in November had to offer - Christmas market, lighted Capital Suspension Bridge, food tour, and general fun. All was possible with a perfect apartment for the family. Walking in and out of Gastown on Water Street helped avoid the more challenging elements in Gastown. Great location for a wonderful trip.

GREAT STAY!

We visited Vancouver with our best friends and could not be more pleased with this terrific place! Great location, super walkable, tons of restaurants and bars, awesome coffee shops - we would return in a heartbeat! We visited Lynn Canyon Park, Granville Island and Stanley Park. Amazing city!

Beautiful and perfectly located~

We were traveling from Seattle, Washington for a little weekend getaway and this was the perfect spot! We had two couples in our group, plenty of space and privacy for us all. Right below us was the Blarney Stone, which ended up being one of the best bars in the area. Noise did not end up being a problem for us at night. We all slept great. We had easy walking access to everything we could need, great food and sight seeing. The big windows in this VRBO were my absolute favorite. They beautifully lit up the whole space making it very pleasant during the day. The upstairs shower had a sauna setting as well, which was such a great touch. Would 100% recommend, we hope to be back again soon!

Beautiful loft in Gastown

We recently stayed in this beautiful loft and couldn’t have been more happy with our stay. The property manager, Mei Ling, was wonderful to communicate with and our check in/out process was seamless. The loft itself was clean and very roomy. Despite being on top of a popular bar, we heard zero noise (who did this soundproofing?! We heard nothing despite there being a loud dance floor right below us). Awesome place right in Gastown and we will definitely stay here for our next Vancouver trip!

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our stay - everything about it was great. The location, the communication from the hosts, the cleanliness. The apartment is well appointed and very clean. We loved having a washer/dryer and the kitchen was well equipped. Gastown is centrally located near the train station, and other transportation. It is an eclectic and vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants and shopping. We have two suggestions - one is to add hooks in the downstairs bathroom to hang towels, and the other is directions for how to use the split. During our stay it was a bit warm and the fans didn’t cool the upstairs enough. But having the fans was a plus! This historical building is choice and we would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. Thank you!

Good accommodations close to Gas Town.

Clean and spacious property right in Gas Town. Check-in process was easy and the hosts communicate well. There are stairs to get to the suite and steep stairs up to the master bedroom. As long as no accessibility issues, this a great place.

Wonderful getaway

This apartment is in the heart of Gastown and we were able to walk to many attractions in Vancouver. There are many different restaurants in that area. The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was very easy to communicate with the owners.

Poor AC Poor support from host

upon arrival on a very hot day, the ac was not on, even though the host said the cleaners were just there. the whole unit was super hot. after looking for ac instructions, none were found, we contacted the host who tells us, the only unit was upstairs. we turned it on to 60. it took over 5 hours to cool down, but it never got cool enough to sleep/work comfortably. it was a miserable 1st afternoon and night. we booked it months in advance. they only had 2 manual fans for 2 bedrooms and the living room, etc. The ceiling fans they told us they have were so high up and in the main room area only, nothing around the beds to help with airflow or sleeping. the downstairs bedroom had no airflow at all it was like a sauna the whole time we were there. after trying to work in the day and sleep at night with damp towels on us and everything else we could think of to make the property somewhat comfortable, we just could not do it, anymore, we had to leave early the last morning to find a cooler place. the details of the property should tell you that the neighborhood is very scary to walk around. the host confirmed the ac was working properly. They will not give us a refund for it being different than the property details stated and what we expected. I would not trust this host or what they list. I have many photos to support this. also know that there is no elevator to get to the 2nd story with your luggage and the inside staircase is very small, and very hard to use.

Great Stay in Vancouver

My wife, infant, and I had a great stay at this loft. It wasn't too loud for us (though we live in NYC) and had plenty of space. There was a lot of kitchen utensils and all the pots and pans we could use. Having a washer and dryer in the loft was great for washing our infant's clothing. There are some great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Communication with the hosts was great and they tried to be as flexible as possible. I would stay here again!

Enjoyed staying here!

The host was thorough in providing information about the property, nearby eateries, the unhoused population on Hastings St. she was kind enough to let us drop off our luggage prior to check-in. The primary suite was spectacular!! Loved having 2 full, well appointed bathrooms, a gorgeous kitchen, laundry facilities all in the unit. Enjoyed Gastown a lot!

Fabulous apartment

The apartment is beautiful, every detail is perfection. I especially loved the huge bathtub in the loft. The area is a bit dicey with a lot of homeless people. It does not seem to be dangerous but sad to see. Restaurants in the area were terrific and the buses are nearby, easy to use. Check out Chinatown and the Chinese garden which is very close by. would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Vancouver

Luxury Loft was just that. Be as fully appointed, clean and great location. Only drawback was the pub below us on a Friday night. All other nights were ok.

They make it their lifestyle to travel in between the homes, to constantly improve them, and share them with others.

Eddie is a snowboarder, rock climber, and sax player. Marv is an avid golfer, vegan, and sport enthusiast. Both Eddie and Marv have traveled all over the world.
