The property was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well equipped. I was unable to find anything to sweep the floors with and the stick vacuum cleaner could not be charged to any strength enough to use.Beach is across the road through the tunnel in a fabulous historic part of town. We visited the roundhouse at 1pm to witness the cannon being fired, which was very interesting. The rail line runs directly in front of the property and trains start running around 5am, so not conducive to a relaxing sleep in.Overall a great location.
We absolutely loved our stay at this unique and welcoming apartment. I stayed with my husband and mother, and it exceeded our expectations. The space was quirky and full of character, decorated with fascinating nik naks collected from the owners’ travels—it felt like a real home, not just a holiday rental. The location was perfect. Having a garage for our car was a huge plus, and we were within easy walking distance to the ferry to Rottnest Island and the train station, which made day trips into Perth completely hassle-free. The apartment overlooks the historic Roundhouse, and we could see the ocean from the top balcony— a lovely spot to relax. We also appreciated being so close to Fremantle’s restaurants. Everything was within reach, and we felt completely at ease throughout our stay.Highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Perth or Fremantle. We’d definitely stay again.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. West End is a 4 story converted warehouse. There are many stairs but worth the journey as the view from the top is amazing from the rooftop balcony

Absolutely Lovely
Such a lovely place to stay, and so close to everything that makes Freemantle 'Freemantle'. We were sad all the climbing plants were dead, as it would have been beautiful to look out at the greenery when in the kitchen, but it has to be at the top of the list of places to stay! Quiet, private, gorgeous rooftop bbq area, and only a few meters to Chalkies for breakfast. We cant way to stay next year!

Superb location with lots of cosy restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk. The house itself was well equipped with tasteful furnishings. Sitting at the balcony with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, with a stunning view of the round house directly opposite, was an amazing experience. Last but not least, Nicole was so prompt and friendly, dealing with my queries. Would love to stay there again when back in Freo ❤️

Creepy Neighbour
Arrived went upstairs check view caught eye contact neighbour I said hello he just turned head. Felt immediately unwelcome. Mum 70YO from Victoria arrived midnight. Talked an hour went to bed. Mum spoke brother on phone top floor bedroom.
Following day Fremantle jail tours and Tommy Emmanuel concert. Returned midnight with pizza was soggy reheated oven.
Following morning owner called complain numerous nights noise. loud music, dragging furniture around 3am. I dumfounded, if happened why not receive complaints previously or at 3am (asleep).
Got off phone to owner 2nd level bedroom neighbour yells I quote "go back to poor land you silly old pr1ck" and then "You F#ck#n loser". I realised how paper thin the walls; he had been listening to me speak through the wall.
Intended Rottnest Island that day leaving townhouse neighbour just stared from balcony. Was very creepy. Not expected for long-awaited holiday. Called owner standing across road explained what happened. I asked refund remainder stay and leave. Owner replied needs think about.
Walked to ferries unsure go Rottnest. Received email from owner approving my request. Moved remaining accommodation to Esplanade Hotel 500 meters away. Worst place I have ever stayed.
Note: This property no longer available for booking including fremantlestayswa. Assume this is because of continual permanent resident neighbour noise complaints. This property is not suitable for anyone going on a holiday.
