Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the guest house for our retreat. However, the towels and blankets could have been better organized. We were told to bring our own, so we were surprised to find plenty available. The blankets were on the floor, and the towels were piled on the sofa as though they had just come out of the dryer. This did not feel welcoming.Aside from that, everything was good. For future visits, we would appreciate clearer information about what is provided and having the towels and blankets neatly folded and stored before guests arrive.
Our family joined here to celebrate high school graduation in Silverdale. Wow the view was incredible!! the weather was perfect! The beds were amazing, except for the den. It would be noce to have a real bed in there. This historic home had lots of character and charm. If it stays a VRBO we will be back!

We appreciate your note about the den and are glad the rest of the beds were a great fit. It means a lot that you rated your stay so highly, and we’d be delighted to welcome your family back anytime.

My family group of 11, ages 3 to 74, found this home perfect for a long weekend of family fun. The kayaks and games downstairs were real hits

Mama's 82nd birthday
We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfect and the location is so unique and special. The house was super clean, well furnished and private. We would definitely go back!

From the owner: “That is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that our home was able to host Grandmother's 82nd birthday. We would love to have you back, anytime!"
Our three-generation family has an annual end-of-summer event in combination with a birthday celebration. This was one of our most memorable stays. The kayaking a mere 50 feet or so from the back deck (at high tide) was awesome. This 1940s house has a lot of built-in cabinets which was interesting and the house felt roomy. The view from the back of the house and deck was awesome. The evenings were very peaceful and quiet on the deck. The upper floor and basement have bedrooms so for senior citizens or anyone with mobility challenges then navigating the narrow. steep staircases may be a consideration. Sadly, the upstairs bathroom does not have a shower. The basement is a new-ish remodel with a super bathroom including a shower. The kids enjoyed the activities in the basement with its huge TV. I have sent recommendations to the property management company that ant traps should be renewed. Ants in the kitchen were a minor issue...almost a non-problem except that we did see some. I have also recommended that someone replace the one missing kayak paddle, the one broken kayak paddle, and the broken paddle board paddle. Given the situation, we took turns using the kayaks and paddleboards and everyone had a great time.
We were celebrating a special birthday and the beautiful Illahee house and its magical location were perfect for us. We so enjoyed the the tidal fluctuations and kayaks and wildlife--all so special. And so many fireworks to see across the water.

Beautiful home on the water
We enjoyed just about everything in this house. The location on the water is idyllic and exploring the water line as the tides went in and out was fun. The view of Mt Rainier (when or sunny or sunny-ish) is spectacular! The house itself is in good condition, was clean and had plenty of space for our party of ten. Our kids enjoyed the amenities in the house like the pool table. The owners of the property are very nice and were exceptionally responsive when a (relatively minor) issue arose.Overall, we had a terrific time and would highly recommend staying here.

Location
Location on the Sound was wonderful! We especially loved the deck and firepit and ate most of our meals out there enjoying the amazing views. We also watched river otters, eagles, even a seal or two out in the water. Having the kayaks and paddleboards was awesome. House is so cute and quaint and it worked well for our family gathering. The upstairs bathroom could use updating as it doesn't have a shower. Noleen and the Mgmt company were flexible and so easy to work with!

From the owner:
"Thank you for sharing back with us, Mindy! It’s wonderful to hear you got to enjoy and see everything we love about this home, too! After the complete modernization of the basement last year, we are setting our sights on the upper floors in our next remodel. We hope you’ll come back!"
House was very nice. The property manager was out of the country during our visit and no other local contact was given. I just had a few question and she did not answer her phone. I texted and one went unanswered and one was answered the next day which was too late.
Our family had a wonderful stay at this home. It was very clean and just as advertised. There were eleven of us and we had plenty of room in the house. The kids loved the bunk bed room in the basement. Plenty of kitchen supplies, towels and blankets. We enjoyed the waterfront view. Our kids loved exploring on the shore when the tide went out. We had a whole collection of shells and other finds. There were even boots under the porch that the kids could use to wade in the water with- such fun! Only a 10 min. drive to Bremerton. The only hiccup was we received the check-in instruction email a day late, so that was a bit confusing. Though I booked through Vrbo, it actually is a Revolve property, so maybe that's the issue. We would definitely recommend this house!

From the owner: "Thank you, Antonia! We love hearing that you and your family were able to enjoy and take in all that our home and property is all about. And glad you found everything to your expectations. Thanks for letting us know about the instructions email issue - we will definitely let Evolve know and ask them to ensure check-in emails are sent well in advance for future guests. We do look forward to any future stays you may consider with us!"
The only complaint I have is that I had to do a significant amount of cleaning when I first arrived to get the house ready for my family guests that I was hosting. The outdoor patio was in complete disarray, I was brushing away cobwebs through my first walkthrough of the house, and the kitchen was stunningly unclean, from gross stains in the refrigerator and freezer, stains all over the cabinets, crumbs on the window seating area, and the counter tops were gross. I had to spend more than an hour cleaning and arranging, which for the amount of fees for cleaning, etc., should not have been the case. Honestly, I should be reimbursed the cleaning fees since I did more cleaning in that house than whoever has been hired to do the cleaning. But once that was done, everything went perfectly. The house was perfect for my family of ten, the views were amazing, and we had a fantastic time.
It is a family and friends retreat. Kids simply love the activities owners provided. Great and clean house with a stunning view. The owner is very considerate providing extra plates and cups. We will definitely come back again. Thanks

Peaceful place! Great vacation for family
We stayed there for 5days with our family. We had an amazing time making unforgettable memories that the kids will cherish for a long time.
The house is spacious, cozy and cute and so cleaned.
There is many paddle boards, kayaks to enjoy outdoor sports.
It’s nestled in a cute town, and the location couldn’t be more perfect with beautiful view of Mt Ranier. We saw Bald Eagles daily.
It’s just a few minutes away from Ferry station where we would take to downtown Seattle. We can’t wait to come back next time.
