We had a wonderful stay at this property and would highly recommend it! The location is fantastic with beautiful water views, the home is spacious and well-equipped with a lovely wooden interior, top-quality furniture, and excellent kitchen cutlery and utensils. The outdoor fire pit was fantastic for family time, where we could roast marshmallows together while enjoying the stunning views. Everything was clean and comfortable. The host was great—responsive and helpful with all our questions. The experience overall has been great, and we truly enjoyed our time here. The only small suggestions for future improvements would be adding blinds to the windows for better privacy and light control, along with blinds in the upstairs bathroom, which would have made things even more convenient. Those would be nice-to-have upgrades, but they certainly didn’t detract from what was otherwise an excellent stay.Thank you again—we’d happily come back!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback! We’re truly happy to hear your family enjoyed the home, the waterfront setting, the fire pit evenings, and all the little details throughout the property. It means a lot to us that you appreciated the design, furnishings, kitchen setup, and overall experience. We also genuinely appreciate your suggestions regarding the blinds. It’s actually something we’ve been debating ourselves for quite some time. One of the unique features we love most about the home is the expansive panoramic water view, and we’ve been hesitant to install anything that might compromise even a few inches of that experience. That said, we absolutely understand the importance of additional privacy and light control, especially in the upstairs spaces, and we’ve definitely been considering different options that could balance both. There are currently blinds installed on all windows with limited or partial water views, while we’ve intentionally kept the main waterfront-facing windows more open to preserve the full experience of the scenery and natural light. Thank you again for staying with us and for being such wonderful guests. We’d be delighted to host you again anytime! Warmly, Tina H

Born in the ’70s and a proud University of Washington alum, I’m an art collector with a passion for history, exploring new cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life!

Why they chose this property

Travel has always been one of our greatest joys, and we rarely do it alone—we move as a pack, whether it’s family, close friends, or both. Our biggest challenge has always been finding a cozy, well‑equipped place with beautiful views that can comfortably host our group, sometimes as many as twenty people. That search became the foundation for choosing where to create our own gathering place.
Port Orchard turned out to be that hidden gem on the Puget Sound—calm waters, breathtaking sunsets, and a welcoming small‑town feel. The house fits the setting perfectly, with private waterfront access, wide‑open outdoor spaces, and inviting corners to relax and take in the scenery. It’s become our favorite place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the water together.

What makes this property unique

“Amazing” is the only word that captures this rare NO-BANK sandy beachfront home on Rich Passage. Elegant and timeless, yet perfectly open to the outdoors, offers a true waterfront retreat.

Step into a striking two-story entry, where an elegant iron railing frames a true conversation piece—an original 8-foot Multnomah sternwheeler ship’s wheel (circa 1912), complete with a certificate of authenticity. Historic naval lights (circa 1930), mounted along the walls, celebrate the home’s rich maritime heritage, adding timeless character and charm.

Comfort is fully considered, with a radiant heating and cooling system controlled by seven independent thermostats, allowing personalized temperatures throughout multiple zones.

The living room exemplifies craftsmanship and character, featuring a suspended Wineglass Wherry mounted on hand-built curved beams and a model airplane—distinctive touches that make this home truly unique.

A chef’s kitchen outfitted with high-end appliances—including a Sub-Zero refrigerator and double Wolf ovens—anchors the home, complemented by a cozy library, a dedicated pantry, and a full laundry room. The daylight basement is designed for entertainment, featuring a private movie theater, a full-size pool table, and a foosball table, all opening directly to a private patio and the beach.

Step onto the main deck and take in sweeping 270-degree waterfront views. Nautical charm abounds with a 45-foot flagpole from the Boeing Museum of Flight and a real ferry horn—you can even pull the rope and hear it in action! On occasion, you might spot a naval ship sailing by; for example, the USS Nimitz passed through on March 7, 2026.

Outside, a private concrete boat ramp, mooring buoy, fire pit, automatic backup generator, and tranquil pond complete this extraordinary waterfront experience.

More than a home, this is a place to relax, connect, and fully savor the beauty of Port Orchard.
