A 2- hour drive from Launceston takes in beautiful, lush scenery with views of Bass Straight from Devonport to Boat Harbour Beach. The interior space
Every room in the house is filled with beautiful natural light and has been styled and furnished to capture the beauty of the beach view and coastal living. The open plan kitchen, living and dining area extends out to an expansive 9 metre balcony through 4 metre by-fold doors that fully open so the sea view becomes part of the living area – an easy flow of indoor and outdoor living.
Guests who have stayed with us usually say ‘wow!’ when they walk into the upstairs living area, quite amazed by the breathtaking view of the beach and Bass Straight. That, plus the lighting, styling, and overall feeling of the room, combine to create a casually elegant, and comfortable atmosphere.
The living area and dining table comfortably seat four. There is an oversized 3-seater sofa, a solid-oak framed armchair, and a good cluster of coffee /side tables. The Heat & Glo gas timber fire is easily operated by a remote.
The house is fully equipped for relaxation, with excellent Wi-Fi, Sony TV, Marshall Bluetooth stereo and Bose speakers.
Galley kitchen
The galley kitchen is large and looks out to the sea view and the kitchen terrace garden. It features long white benchtops, lots of storage and state of-the-art appliances, including a European cooktop and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, POD coffee machine and microwave. A selection of pots, pans, chef’s knives, cooking utensils, and plenty of tableware provides you with everything you need to enjoy local produce collected from your travels. There is also a fabulous selection of Tasmanian timber boards and serving platters by Big Chop to help you craft delicious grazing plates and gourmet feasts.
Indulge at home or explore and discover the local restaurants and cafes. Tasmanian wines, fresh produce, locally caught seafood, the finest quality beef, artisan cheese and locally distilled Beer, Gin and Whisky are at your fingertips.
There are plenty of cookbooks and WHITE HOUSE is a self-catering kitchen.
On your doorstep is our favourite licensed café Seekers at Boat Harbour Beach, right next to the Boat Harbour Surf Lifesaving Clubhouse, with both outdoor and indoor tables.
Glassware
The house is equipped with a good selection of quality glassware, jugs, wine carafe, cocktail shaker, and martini glasses.
Flowers and Vases
Flowers are everywhere in the area, Tulips, Liliums, Dutch Iris as well as many other plants all year round. The flush of spring colour from the tulips flowering on Table Cape is spectacular to see from late September. You won’t be able to resist the beautiful bunches from the Flowerdale ‘hut’ on the main road between Wynyard and Boat Harbour. We love flowers and provide a good selection of vases.
Sleep
Each comfortably sleeping two adults, the two bedrooms have an abundance of natural light and sunshine. You can listen to the waves from bed, and the sliding door access onto timber decking brings the beautiful beach and ocean into view.
Both bedrooms have been thoughtfully and beautifully styled for the cosy space. The bedlinen for all the Queen size beds is 100% cotton and linen, with down duvets, cotton blankets and throws. There are full length white linen curtains, with roller blinds for extra privacy, and electric blankets and portable heating for the winter.
Bathroom
Everything has been thoughtfully provided in the small bathroom for a luxe feel. Lovely hand and shower products, a large rain shower head and sumptuous towels.
Groceries and Supplies
There are no shops in Boat Harbour Beach so please stock up on all your food & drinks before you arrive. Depending on the route you’ve travelled you may already have a good basket of goodies. The house pantry provides some basics, Olive Oil, Vinegar, Salt, Pepper, a range of T2 teas and coffee. Wynyard the closest shopping area is 15 minutes from Boat Harbour Beach.
