Lovely villa

I booked this villa for its proximity to wedding celebrations we were attending. The villa presents as clean and tidy. Amenities were provided and good. Overall we had a good stay at Villa Laut. Having been to Bali many times this was our first time in Canggu …I wouldn’t go there again…it was a little isolated for my liking and surroundings were limited.

Cancellation without any notice!

The owner has cancelled the day of arrival our stay. I requested him to know if it would be possible to cancel or shorten the stay due to a family issue. He told me he could do that but I need to confirm to them. I confirmed to them that I will simply shorten the stay. They didn't read my email in 48 hours, and the concierge told us that some other guests have checked in!!! The host has proposed us an inadequate solution with 2 x 2 bedrooms villas to accommodate us, which we refused. We ended up being without any villas or hotel in Bali for 6 hours, looking for a place to stay!

We are shocked to read such a fake public review: Eric contacted us saying one of his family members passed away and asked about refund, +10 days before arrival. His message was quite clear regarding his request to cancel, which we did. He then 3 days before arrival asked to, instead of cancelling, reduce his stay, which was no longer possible as the booking was cancelled as per his request. We will reach out to VRBO to report this guest for fake review and public lies to have it removed. Shame on you Eric, especially as you said someone died which is why you couldn't come as initially planned, maybe this was a lie?...
