The Space:

Close to town, this wonderful 2 level 4-bedroom home is the ideal vacation spot for families or small groups. Spacious, super warm and well appointed, Sublime Escapes inspiring and unique vibe sets up the perfect alpine experience all year around. The ground floor provides the convenience of internal access and storage for luggage and ski gear. There is also plenty of private and off-street parking for guests to use.



KITCHEN AND LIVING:

The large open plan kitchen showcases the wooden tones creating a striking contrast against the walls making use of the natural light this home is the epitome of alpine living.

Cook up a storm with your friends, gaze at the lake, enjoy a game of cards in the dining area or simply put your feet up in the lounge area with a wine and book, this super open plan space has something for everyone.



OUTDOORS:

Add your own Après ski fun through the multiple outdoor living areas whilst being surrounded by one of the most striking and dramatic landscapes in New Zealand. Breathe the clean alpine air while you sunbathe in a sunny spot over the summer BBQ months.

The layout of the house is special, but it did work for our group. The master bed could be more comfortable though. All beds are equipped with heated pads, which are not necessary in my opinion. There is carpet in every bedroom - which I'm not a big fan of (personal pref).But the view is awesome and the short (but steep) walk to town is very convenient. The kitchen is well equipped and all in all it was really pleasant to stay at the Sublime Escape.

Very comfortable house in a good location - just 15 min walk from town. Great kitchen, bathrooms and living area. Was nice having a fireplace. Lovely views, especially from upstairs. Great for a small group but 7-8 people is probably too many due to the layout and 2 bathrooms.

There were huge issues with the hot water. Only two people could have a shower and it would go cold. We would then have to wait 2 hours until it heated up.When contacted we were told it was an us problem and we need to manage our showers. In reality, I didn’t pay the amount I did to have to do this. A bigger hot water system needs to be installed.I didn’t download the app as I felt it was a waste of time and just went off the email. I feel like we may have been surveiled as I had an email saying we hadn’t put the key back in the lock box. I found this a little unnerving.The rubbish thing is also very weird. Having limited rubbish, especially for an extended stay and then been to pay for extra rubbish was very annoying.

We’re sorry to hear that parts of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. This is a private holiday home which is fitted with a full-sized residential electric hot water cylinder, the same type used in the vast majority of New Zealand homes. If multiple long showers are taken back-to-back, the hot water can be depleted and does need time to reheat. This is normal and to be expected behavior for electric hot water systems. Important information, including details about the hot water system, rubbish management, and access instructions, are provided in the Guest App which contains everything needed before, during, and after your stay and really simple to access. I am sorry but had this been accessed rather than dismissed as a waste of time, all your concerns would likely have been answered and unnecessary frustration avoided. Regarding the lockbox message which is an automated reminder sent to all guests 12 hours after check in. We do not monitor guests or check the lockbox during stays. The lockbox key is simply kept in place so that if assistance is required, we can access the property of course with prior guest approval. In relation to rubbish: due to Queenstown council regulations and waste management requirements for short-term accommodation, we operate under a managed rubbish system with allocated capacity per stay, which is covered in the Guest App under the rubbish section.
