This wonderful home was exactly as presented. Our hosts communicated promptly to address any questions and our family had the chance for a much needed week of relaxation!
Plenty of room for 9 adults and 2 babies under one. The place was clean, the lake view peaceful, kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable.
Arrived to a very clean home with an amazing view of Center Lake. Plenty of bedrooms and space. Great fire pit. Well laid out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Large house with plenty of space for 4 school aged kids, a 1yr old, and 6 adults. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of pillows and fans in every room. Our kids loved the basement/playroom. We kayaked and swam off the dock everyday. A great family vacation home!!!
Great Lake view! Really nice flow to the house. Hosts were outstanding and answered any questions we had. It was a beautiful time and was total enjoyment. Rooms were very clean, would have the cleaning crew do a little better job with the small appliances. Toaster oven and microwave not very clean. Bit a very minor thing and we would definitely come back!

Wonderful stay
We stay at Jason and Julia’s rental for the nascar race in Brooklyn. Our group had a great time and loved the rental. Access to the lake is amazing and the house is well-kept. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay again
We loved our visit, house was spacious and fit all of our needs. House was well maintained and owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We loved kayaking on the lake getting to see the nature on the water. Would be more than happy to stay here again!
We enjoyed a really enjoyable weekend while gathering for a family wedding. The weather was perfect and the water temperature still conducive to kayaking and SUP use. Well furnished and very clean, it was the perfect setting for all of us.
Our son graduated from UofM and we wanted a place we could all be together as a family to celebrate and relax. This cottage provided the space we needed and was not too far from Ann Harbor to drive in when we needed for all the graduation activities. We were happy to be out of all the traffic and hastle of finding places to eat.Having the convenient store next door was super helpful - especially when I forgot to get butter at Miejer (which is only one exit away - which was also convenient as well). If we ever need to be back in Ann Harbor we would definately stay again.
Stayed the weekend for a wedding. Teenage boys loved the downstairs game room and having their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The large chair in the living room was great to sit and enjoy conversations with spouse.
This was a Great Place to stay, it had everything we need and more. From the time I rented the house to the time we left the owners were very helpful and guided us to what we need to make a stay enjoyable. The view of the Lake, the little Market next door and the amenities from the kitchen to the deck outside were great. We would differently rent this home again... Rick
Plenty of space. Right on the lake. Very clean. Great communication with the property managers. Air conditioners all worked great. Lots of extra linens and towels. Next door to a small store (very convenient). We would come back without question.
Our group of 7 was in town to attend a nearby college football game. The accommodations were more than enough for the group. Separate bedrooms and beds made it convenient with adult children and friends. Nice setting with lake view. Large kitchen and dining area made meals easy. House was well stocked with games and activities, although we regretfully didn't take advantage of that, or the lake front, during our short stay.
Everything was as-advertised in a good way. Most notable was the fact that i initially went to the wrong address (it was dark) and the manager answered their phone to help me locate the property. High marks on communications and accessibility with the managers

Hi Marianne, we want our guests to rest easy and feel confident in their vacation rental, so we take concerns like yours very seriously. After sharing your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to clarify a few details:- Michigan experienced an unprecedented rain event due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl, which caused basement flooding in many homes across the area. This event was "the biggest rain event the city has ever weathered" per articles from the weather channel. Fortunately, this home has both indoor and outdoor sump pumps, which prevent any basement flooding.- We confirmed that, prior to your check-in, a thorough cleaning was completed, and no issues were detected in the basement.- When you reported minor seepage, we reviewed the photos you sent, which showed a few drops of water in two spots. Out of concern, we offered a partial refund which has never been requested for this property before.- After your departure, a thorough inspection was conducted, and no water damage was found in the basement, indicating that any moisture may have been minimal and temporary. We have confirmed that nothing is deceiving in the listing as also evidenced by all other reviews. We appreciate your feedback and have documented your experience for future reference. Thank you again for staying with us, and we apologize if any small amounts of water did occur during your stay during this once-in-a-lifetime storm.
The hosts were really easy to communicate with and very responsive. There was plenty of space for all our family to gather to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. If booking, I would be aware that the basement bedrooms are pretty separate from the upstairs (you access it through the garage). Just something to be aware of. Also, make sure you check out the binder that the hosts created. Lots of good information including the best spot to swim at the lake, activities to do, and restaurants to try.
An added perk for us was the convenient store that was right next door. It came in really handy for us during our stay!! Overall, great stay.
The lake was beautiful. The house was clean and the property owners were very communicative. There was an awesome guide book created by property owners describing everything we'd need about the house (how to use the coffee maker, washing machine, etc.) There is a small 'quicky mart' next door for anything we forgot. There are 3 bedrooms on the main level and 2 in the basement. One thing to mention is the basement access from the house is through the garage so with our younger kids we were a bit thrown off at first.... but once we got comfortable with that, the house worked out great. It's perfect for families with teenagers and older kids! We would definitely stay at this house again for future vacations.
We had a blast at the place! The open living space was perfect for us. There were two big tables, and the game room and basement were a hit with the kids. The views of the lake were breathtaking. The lake appeared to be frozen. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular on the frozen lake!My kids loved having a TV in each room - I think there were seven of them! We didn’t spend much time on the deck since it was winter, but I can totally picture it being a great spot in the summer. The upstairs had central heat, and we kept it around 67-68 degrees, which was comfortable for us. The heater didn’t have to work too hard, which was a plus. The basement was a bit cooler, but there were electric heaters that kept it cozy for sleeping. You have to go through the garage to get to the basement, and it was a bit chilly in there, but it wasn’t a big deal. It worked out well because one family slept downstairs, and our family upstairs, so we had more privacy. It felt like we had two separate places. There’s a market next door, and it was super convenient to grab a bottle of wine or ice cream for us or hot cocoa for the kids. Meijer is just a short drive away for groceries. We found all the kitchen appliances easy to use, and it was great for preparing family meals. There was coffee and a coffee maker, which was perfect for us. The smaller fridge/wine cooler was nice to have because it left space in the main refrigerator for our food. We really enjoyed our stay!
Our group of friends loves the outdoors so we wanted to do some hiking. We did one urban hike to see the murals in downtown Jackson and the two more remote hikes. We found some beautiful areas.
We also love to cook and enjoyed making meals in the sizable kitchen and playing games around the large dining room table.
The water views, see from most the the rooms, was stunning and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets.
The host was very accommodating and made us feel so at home.
We are hoping for a return trip to see what the area looks like in the winter.
