Was not completely prepared for the second and third floor, but the rooms were clean and well appointed. Please be aware there are almost zero outlets available for anything that needs to be plugged in, was able to work around that. The yard is AMAZING, and made staying with the dogs so much easier, even in terrible weather conditions. Would stay here again due to great yard and convenient access to the city.
The location of the property was good , with good neighborhood, quiet , clean w/ lots of cleaning supplies , safe and comfortable to stay . The staff are knowledgeable, respectful, dependable, reliable , non discriminatory and honest.

The place was accommodating, with enough bedrooms to fit our group comfortably and a fair price point. The pictures and description matched what was stated, which was reassuring. While there wasn’t much shopping within walking distance, the location worked well for our needs. The property could benefit from a deeper cleaning and having more towels available. Overall, it was a decent place to stay and met our expectations.

NICE AND QUITE
the place is nice and very clean, the rooms are big and nice the bathrooms are clean I will love the 2nd floor bathroom to have a door for the other rooms vs going in the bedroom but other than that it was worth every penny, definitely use it again.
We reserved this place. While reading the description it did state that there were steps to enter the unit. However the host pictures ony showed pictures of the steps going into the residence. We also were never speifically told that we were renting a second story unit. When we arrived and opened the door we saw the dteps and were like this will not work. My wife has mobility issues and nowhere did the description say that a handicap person or a person with mobility issues would not be able to access the unit. That being said we ended up having to find a hotel, basically paying twice. We had trouble reching the host to discus this, we called VRBO and they couldnt reach him either. Eventualy we got a text apologizing saying that his phone was dead. We told him the situation and basically he said he was sorry for the misunderstanding. I called VRBO again when we got home and ssked if they could help us at all. We were not looking for a full refund. The rep said he would call the host and see what he could do. The host said nope. Said their cancellation policy is firm. The reason i am giving this a one star rating is because of the description of the place being misleading. We totally realize that this was on us. We thought that maybe the host would be willing to refund half. Again we no that he didnt have too, but we thought it would be good business, but he apparently is not a good business person. If you have mobility issues. Stay away

Response from VrboOwner on 23 March 2026
Thank you for your feedback—we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We take all feedback seriously and would like to clarify. The listing clearly states that stairs are required on VRBO, Airbnb, and Evolve's website. You checked out the same day due to a family decision, not a listing issue. As the owner, I was temporarily unavailable to respond to an early access request but contacted support promptly to address the situation. We remain committed to providing clear listing information, attentive communication, and a positive experience for all guests.
Place was very unkempt. They tried to hide any bad smells with 8 plug ins. It was awful. The dishes in the drawer were dirty and the beds were not clean nor were the linens. Shame on this place.

Towels, dishes, and utilities, everything was poor quality
The house was dirty. I brought my one-year-old, and I had to clean before settling in. The quality of everything in the home was horrible, starting with the towels & going down to the dish drying rack. I don't recommend this home to families with little ones. The hygiene within the house was horrible; for example, everything was dusty, and the floor was dusty.
Me and some friends stayed for the west indian parade. We didn't know what to expect, but surprisingly that was one of the best stay we had as a group. Owner was awesome and everything was on point. If you are visiting the American Dream Mall and NY, I highly recommend staying there.
this place
The house is on a very quiet street and we had a very nice stay. The communication with the owner for very good. All the beds were comfortable. The rooms themselves were quite small but having a house instead of a hotel room gave us adequate space. We had trouble affording NYC and this fit in our budget Travel time to NYC was 10-15 minutes. Midtown about 20-25 minutes.

Overall, the stay was good. It started out rough because it wasn’t ready for us, and communication from the host was poor. But once we got in, it went fine. We were told to stay in the 3rd floor apartment, but we found our layer it seemed to have been a miscommunication because the majority of the amenities were in the 2nd floor apartment after asking for garbage bags when checking out. The key opened both… We hope communication will be more clear in the future, as our stay could have been much more comfortable.
This place was just want we wanted.. a place close but far from the city for us to get to everyday. We drove into the city 30 mins or less. Shopping center and supermarkets nearby. Nice neighborhood. Had 2ft unit and top floor. Our boys loved the bunk beds and all the TVs already had hook up to Netflix Disney etc. .. only note make sure to bring extension bc there are not nightstands in the rooms to plug in your phones and rest them at night. Other than that would def stay there again . Owner was in good contact checking to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Great parking too which was the biggest reason we didn’t stay in the city.
Need to add a few things.... night stands, dresser with drawers for clothes, big mirror to see entire body before going out, need to replace ceiling fans make noise, not a bad place to stay, these are just my suggestions to make this place for future guest..
Overall was a clean & decent place! Neighborhood was quiet, pretty central locations with some stores and restaurants in walkable distance. We had a bit of snag when we first arrived because the unit was a bit confusing and we couldn’t initially get ahold of the property manager but it was figured out. The second floor is the main unit we rented and had 3 bedrooms, the living room, 2 bathroom & kitchen. 3rd floor was a smaller unit with a small sitting room, kitchenette, bathroom & bedroom. Directions were a bit unclear for which one we rented so that was the initial confusion. Figured out the keys worked for both units. Was exactly what we needed. They only “complaint” was that there were scented plugins things through out and the smell was a bit overwhelming. We unplugged them during our stay and it was fine.
Happy with the property for our needs. Not being American we weren't 100% on how things were done or what to expect. If the property had its maximum amount of people staying it would have been a bit of a squeeze but for us it was fine. Slightly annoying that we codnt open a window for fresh air but only a slight inconvenience. As a suggestion a small bedside table with a light on it would be helpful
Pictures looked much better than in person. Thought we would have the whole house to ourselves, but was on 2nd floor and it was a very small area. Advertised as 3 bedrooms but one of the bedrooms were outside the apartment off to the side, so whoever needed to get into the apartment for anything other than sleeping, they needed the front door key, as well as the key for the room. Therefore, everyone else didn’t have access to the front door key in the meantime. It was very annoying. Not a terrible place to stay, but just way different than expected.

I was not expecting a perfect VRBO listing but this was so far off the mark I was very disappointed. It was very dirty upon arrival. Refrigerator was full of dirt and food debris. The coffee maker was filled with moldy coffee and took hours to clean. The floors were unclean, and we found a vacuum and vacuumed ourselves which filled the canister. The kitchen drawers were disgusting. Upstairs was worse. Only good thing was the bathrooms were clean. I literally cleaned the entire apartment before we moved anything in and felt fortunate that I had brought Clorox wipes and sanitizer and Lysol. I noticed the couch was a hide a bed so we checked it out and it was full of food debris and other gross stuff. Plus upon inspection the listing stated kitchen utensils, dishes and cookware. There was NO silverware and only two so called plates. I was also shocked at the backyard outdoor seating area. It was non functional and a mess. I had to call Robert the owner who at least brought over silverware and plates. He even vacuumed out the drawer because we insisted. I feel like I should have received a cleaning discount based on how much we did. I tried to be generous with my review but I don’t want someone else to go here thinking it looks like the listing. The stairs are tough to navigate but doable. Location was okay for us and we were happy to have the AC units and parking spots. All linens were included and okay. I will be honest and say I would never stay here again.
