Beautiful neighborhood and wonderful property…. Very happy with the stay. The amenities were beyond expectation. It was unseasonably warm so we had the door open at times to increase airflow… our hosts were wonderful and cool with that. We loved our visit to Vancouver… definitely recommend this location for your visit.

We were an older couple so it didn’t really suit our needs. The bed was against one wall and the bath/ shower had nothing to hold onto when getting in and out. Otherwise spotlessly clean.

The hosts were communicative and gave instructions on how to find place and get inside. Clean space with typical amenities. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice. Would stay again.

Best stay in Vancouver yet

We're definitely booking this place again. The neighborhood is gorgeous, the apartment is fully furnished and perfect for a couple visiting Vancouver. The owner was immediately responsive and friendly. All the appliances seemed brand new, and there were tons of little extras around the place that made things easier. Extra shopping bags, umbrellas, games, books. Whenever we realized we forgot something, somehow it was there. Loved this place. We'll definitely book again.

Highly recommended!

We highly enjoyed our stay. The hosts are extremely nice and respond quickly. The unit has instructions for EVERYTHING, and all are very clear. The unit is technically an in-law of the host's residence. The neighborhood is quiet, so the unit is perfect to rest after long flights. The price is reasonable, given the high hotel prices in Vancouver.

Lovely, clean, modern, quiet stay

This was a great spot for us to stay for a couple of days when we were in town for a wedding. The cleanliness really stood out. As did the modern design and nice touches like really thick windows and doors to keep it quiet. The neighborhood was nice, central to go to many parts of the city (we had a car), and parking was easy right out front. The hosts were also very responsive to messages and even when we forgot something were easy to coordinate with for a pickup. We'll be back!

Just stayed one night. Well appointed suite and comfortable. Couldn’t get the TV to work but not really a problem for us. Would have liked some type of cream or creamer for the coffee lol All in all a fantastic place to stay

Just perfect

We stayed for three nights. The basement appartment hasn't much natural light but is brandnew, in a perfect shape and extremely well equipped. The neighbourship is totally quite and in a few minute you can reach public transportation to the airport and downtown. We had a perfect time. Thanks to Cindy & Rob !

Great location and exactly as described!

My husband and I stayed at Carrie and Rob's place during our visit to Vancouver. We loved the location with easy access to downtown and Richmond. The suite was cozy, well lit, and nicely decorated. We felt so at home and appreciated having the kitchenette and the washer and dryer. Street parking was readily available and accessible. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. Carrie and Rob were hospitable and responsive. They are excellent hosts and we will reach out to them for our next trip to Vancouver. Highly recommend!

Private, modern, clean, perfect!

It’s a lovely quiet neighborhood, private entrance with key pad entry. Everything you could need, full kitchen, laundry, supplies. The concrete floors are really nice! Comfortable bed. Nice furniture. Walking distance to metro and buses, you really don’t need a car. Owner was super helpful with restaurant recommendations! Very kind people. Highly recommend it!

Great place + great host!

My soon to be fiance and I recently visited Vancouver to shop for engagement rings. We wanted to stay at a place that was central, close to public transportation, and within our budget. This place checked all the boxes. Bus stops were only minutes away & the sky train not too much further. If you’re a fan of walking and taking in your surroundings, this house is in a beautiful safe neighbourhood! We chose to walk instead of bus a handful of times and although the commute was longer, it was still enjoyable. Our host was amazing. They responded quickly and made us feel very welcome during our stay. The place itself was very clean and provided more than other VRBO’s we’ve stayed at before. We would highly recommend this property to our friends, family, and fellow Vancouver lovers. We’ll definitely be back! C&T

It's in a very nice, quiet area of the city and is about a seven-block walk to the Oakridge-41st train station. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Carrie and Rob have really thought of every amenity you could need for a comfortable stay, and the property is exactly as pictured (cozy and clean). They were welcoming and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process, and heck in and out was super smooth. The Oakridge area was lovely and quiet, and easily accessible by public transit from YVR and into downtown Vancouver. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Vancouver!

I had a great stay in this perfect 1- bedroom suite. It is a true home away from home. The neighbourhood is quiet and on a lovely tree-lined street. The response from the hosts, Carrie & Rob, to my questions (this was my first Vrbo stay) were first-rate and swift. I would highly recommend this Vrbo!

We are a small family with a little Havanese dog living in the upper two floors of the house. When we are not working or going to school we like to travel and do things around the home or city.

We hope that our basement suite can be a nice, comfortable place guests can call home during their stay in Vancouver.

Why they chose this property

Quiet, family-oriented residential neighbourhood. Tree-lined streets with lots of free street parking. We are walking distance to Oakridge Centre which is currently under redevelopment.
Nearby at Alberta St/49th is the Langara YMCA.
Tim Horton’s, Polo Market, Mary Brown’s Chicken, and Roots coffee shop at Main/49th. Subway/Chevron gas station/Van Tea HK Cafe at Main/41st. Starbucks/Bonjour Banh Mi at Cambie/37th.
Chatime Bubble Tea at Cambie/48th.
All are within reasonable walking distance.

What makes this property unique

Modern passive house. Basement suite with stair access and 2 small windows for natural light. Equipped with an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator System) that makes our home healthier, cleaner, and more comfortable by continuously replacing stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air. You will hear the HRV system occasionally (sounds like a fan).
