Very pleasant stay

Very good and friendly welcome and contact with the owners. The kids loved the warm swimmingpool. We felt very comfortable in the large, very tastefully furnished house. Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

Responsive host, but severe hygiene issues and inaccurate listingWe had a wonderful time exploring the region, but the house's condition was a major damper at the start of our holiday. While Nathalie was polite, quick to respond, and waived the cleaning fee after we raised our concerns, our stay suffered from severe hygiene issues and an inaccurate listing.Upon arrival, cleanliness was very poor: a moldy coffee filter, food residue in the unemptied dishwasher and burnt oven, uncleaned small trash cans, a wet towel in the washer, cluttered cupboards, and dirty kitchenware we had to rewash. Check-in was handled by her son, who kindly brought the missing bedding and started the pool treatment, but was otherwise completely uninformed about the state of the property.Furthermore, the listing is inaccurate and photos are outdated. Though advertised seating for 8, there are only 4 chairs inside and outside. The extractor hood shown is missing (making cooking without grease build-up difficult), an unpictured kitchen extension was added, and the unmaintained wooden terrace has loose, splintering boards. Additionally, an unmentioned studio on-site was rented out simultaneously; its connecting door into our living space caused a serious security scare.Overall, while the location is great and the host tries to assist from abroad, the property urgently needs proper maintenance, deep cleaning, and an updated description.
