Welcome travelers, as traveling probably belongs to your most treasured times, Lyttelton Boatique House is quite a treasure. I welcome you to experience a unique stay in my Lyttelton Boatique House.
Wow is what many guests say when they enter the home as it was designed to maximise the wonderful sea/marina views from every possible aspect of the home. Boatique house boast also a fabulous 30 sq meter deck facing the sea/marina view. I rent the house to guests from New Zealand and around the world.
Lyttelton is a suburb of Christchurch with its very own charm. As a lively working harbour it does not come with the tranquility of the countryside, but with the proximity to nature and many restaurants, cafes and bars. Lyttelton is lively so use it, pack your binoculars to take in the constant changing activity of cruise ships, sailing boats, fishing boats and container ships . Take the ferry over to Diamond Harbour. There are lovely swimming bays within walking distance, or for the more adventurous there are two surfing beaches close by, Sumner and Taylors Mistake. Make no MISTAKE!!! and book now, in my VIEW the VIEW will not disappoint you.
Take a ride on the Gondola just minutes away and see the the spectacular views, or if its shopping you desire there are some cute shops in Lyttelton to find that special memorable treasure or the Historical shopping complex the Tannery again just minutes away, or last but not least Christchurch City 15 minutes away, take in the Art Gallery, the Botanical gardens and much more.

Idyllic stay in Lyttelton

Wonderfully sited and set-up for lounge lizards, walkers, swimmers, bikers, day trippers, readers and chefs. We enjoyed watching the everchanging activity of the port servicing Christchurch and the Canterbury Plains. Small craft, fishing vessels, container and cruise ships, almost an arm's stretch away. Always the everchanging light on sea and sky. Car parking, apartment and road all at same level, a rarity in Lyttelton. Our hostess was warm and helpful and never intrusive. The apartment was very comfortable and alive with its creative , quality decor.

Unique and welcoming

This is a quaint, unique home, set up high on the hill overlooking the marina. It was a short walk to town for groceries and to see the local stores. Close to the ferries for rides to the islands . Frances is warm and caring, an excellent host.

Perfect voice!

Frances was more accommodating than any host we’ve encountered in any country. She met us upon arrival, explained a few things, made two restaurant reservations for us, changed one on the day of, provided directions, rebooted internet immediately, and left cream for our coffee. She even had fresh flowers throughout the house. Her place is a perfect location to sit and watch all the port and harbor activity, walk to several restaurants and cafes, but easy to take tunnel into Christchurch. Artfully decorated, quality bedding, large clean well stocked kitchen, beautiful deck with lime trees. An overall feast for the decorator eyes. Eye candy everywhere!

Lots of character and good views

This stay was good and the neighborhood (including restaurants) in Lyttelton was quaint and enjoyable. The only drawback was the busy road on the side of the bedrooms. View of harbor is great! Treats in the kitchen were a bonus.

The property was amazing, extremely clean, and very convenient. We had a lovely harbor view, and a very helpful host! Upon arrival there were freshly baked scones, fresh water in a dispenser, fresh milk, and beautiful fresh flower arrangements in the kitchen and bathroom! We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return! A+/5*
