Lou is excellent. This was our fourth rental in the Tucson area over the past three years and by far the best. He was readily available for questions and very attentive but at the same time afforded us our privacy. This location was safe, secure and private.
We had a really nice stay at this cottage. Horses nearby to say hello to. The owner addressed a small issue we had with a running toilet immediately. The trail is astounding. It is true desert wilderness. The place is not as out-of-the way as I kinda thought in that we were quite close to good grocery stores and all of Tuscon.

Awesome adventure
Great Tucson location, so near to everything, yet "out and away" from it all. We loved watching the hot air balloons on the weekend mornings against the hills of Saguaro NP. The house accommodated our family well and everyone had lots of space to relax in. We are a "cooking" family and that was the part we had to get "creative" on, but managed to make the small "kitchen" area work for that as well. I loved taking my dog for morning walks around the neighborhood. Pam and Lou are gracious hosts and we will be returning again and again..

We vacationed in Tucson the 18-23 of February and stayed at Lou and Pam's guest house. Lou texted us immediately upon arrival in Tucson to tell us the codes to the property. He left the lights on since we arrived late. The next morning he stopped by and answered our questions about the property and provided us with a map showing hiking trails adjacent to his property. The property was just as described on VRBO. It was in a quiet location a few miles out of town. The house was plenty big enough for a family of 6. The property was adjacent to Saguaro National Park so you did not have to leave the property to go on a nice hike. There was a fenced yard perfect for our dog. The one lasting memory on this trip was the night in Lou's "saloon" where another guest and Lou entertained us while singing cowboy songs and playing their guitars. While we had never met Lou before this trip, he made us feel like old friends immediately. Loved staying at this guest house. There were so many cool places to go which were with in a few hours. Our favorites were Tombstone, Sweetwater Trail, Saguaro National Park, AZ Sonora Desert Museum, and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Thanks for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. We really appreciate it, come again.
What a wonderful staycation we had here on the west side of town. We were comfortable all day and night here. The yard was nice to use regularly throughout the day. We could see and hear horses throughout the day. We could walk right on to the Saguaro National Park trail system right off the driveway. Kitchen is sufficient. Lot of bang for your buck here! We loved our stay and would recommend the rental for friends, families and anyone that loves a little solitude and horses!

Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review. We greatly appreciate it.
Very private, but Lou was always nearby for questions as they arose. The house was wonderful. People of AZ were not paranoid with what the country is going thru
(Lights in East bathroom are out and night light in bedroom closest to guest house out as well)
Some of the pictures and one of the older reviews are from before the full kitchen was installed. There is now three bedrooms and three bathrooms and a large full kitchen. Very comfortable.

Beautiful setting. The house was perfect for our family but the kitchen was very small and we needed to purchase a cooler. Enjoyed and would stay again.

that's actually a 4.5 star....
We loved staying here. The accommodations were very comfortable. We were there for 2+ weeks and had 3 different sets of family and friends come while we were there. The beds are all very comfortable and we really appreciated the washer/dryer on site. The lack of full kitchen was a bit challenging but we figured it out and actually with the grill, hotplate and microwave we prepared some decent meals.
Lou was a great host - responsive to our needs and requests, not to mention witty and friendly. The one thing that takes away a half a star is we could not get wifi in the guest house. We both had some work we had to do and this presented a challenge for us. Lou did his darnedest though to get it working but it just didn't happen. He did however give us a key to the "saloon" so we could get some access on the property which we appreciated.
Thank you again Lou and Pam. Your warm hospitality was much appreciated. We hope Ciara had a successful birth. Best to you - Anna & Cary

Country style comfort
Lovely home with amazing views in any direction clean and comfortable and just rural enough you feel as if you really have gotten away from it all.The Hosts are responsive and very helpful. We had a very pleasant stay will say this is not the place to be if you plan to do all your own cooking we didn't as we were visiting family and the cooking was done there or we ate out so it was fine there is a microwave and hotplate and coffee pot available so you can work it out if you need to but when on vacation I prefer not to have to cook really.

Very peaceful. Perfect for our family.
Enjoyed walking, sitting on the porch having coffee in the morning and watching the hot air balloons.
