Really enjoyed our stay at this very cozy little cottage . It was perfect for our family to visit other family in Blackstone. We were so happy that we could bring Remi, our sweet lab as well.

Cozy and cute cottage
We had a great weekend staying at the cottage in Blackstone !
Very welcoming with everything you need.
Went for a great walk at High Bridge Trail State Park !! Great park for a short walk or a long walk !
We were in town for a wedding nearby so we cannot speak for any local eateries but the area was very pretty and the cottage was perfect !!
Nice little home with country living quirks, as noted in the description. The living room pullout needs to be replaced, however the beds were very comfortable!!
This home was pefect. Traveled from Florida to attend a wedding. Had family traveling from TX and Al, was able to host a breakfast for family members not attending early morning wedding events. And everyone loved the cottage feel. 5 stars for sure.

Okay for the price
Property itself was okay. Overall the property appeared clean, however there were dark smudges around doors and light switches along with sticky remote controls for TV's indicating prior cleaning was rushed or not much attention was being paid to things. Trains run constantly about 80 yards from the house, this was not noted anywhere, nor did I see any reviews that mentioned it. Absolutely not the property or hosts fault but there was some sort of domestic dispute at the neighboring house that went on from 10pm to around 11pm.

Hi Steven, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner, who would like to share the following:– The home is thoroughly cleaned before each stay, but we’ve requested a deep clean to catch any overlooked details. We clean the remotes regularly, but one had a broken battery cover that was taped to keep it functional, which could've caused the “sticky” feeling. We’re replacing the remote covers to take care of this.– While train activity and neighborhood incidents are beyond our control, we’ve updated the listing to mention the nearby tracks. The map on our listing also shows their location, so guests know what to expect.Thank you for sharing your experience. Your input helps us continue improving for future visitors.
The guys I work with booked this house to get out of the normal hotel stay. The house has two bedrooms and a pullout couch April to accommodate all of our people. The bathroom is a jack and Jill and very convenient for getting up in the middle of the night. The train was loud at night, but I grew up in Indiana home of the train tracks. I’m used to it. The refrigerator door does open loudly so if you’re trying to be quiet at night, it’s a dead giveaway when someone’s in the fridge that everything we needed to do we mostly work during the day and slept. I did have an issue getting in but the owner was very helpful and prompt with getting back to me For the price this is a steal
Thanks! Yard worked for ham radio antenna and transmitting.
You don't have a space for suggestions so let me recommend hand towels for the bathroom. There were at least 6 bath towels and 2 wash clothes. No hand towels.
Some kind of bar (handle) to help with getting out of the shower would be nice. The tub was slippery.
Also decaf coffee or tell renters it's a Keurig so they can bring preferred pods.
Never found the living room closet with high chair and park n play but didn't need it.
Great stay for what we wanted!

Disliked: Communication
The property is just yards from the railroad. Loud freight trains going all night. When we were leaving we accidentally lost a debit card. The owner did contact us and asked if we had lost it and we asked if they can mail it to us. He said sure but then he texted back and said that cleaner threw it away. That is just not ok and I hope people keep this in mind when they are booking their stay there. You can’t call this a five star stay if you’re going to be just throwing people’s property away.
