About this property

The Stables ~ Peace, Tranquility, Nature, Horses.

Escape to Highlands Centre For Healing, a working equine therapy property and wellness centre, and experience a very special, gentle nurturing energy in nature, a serenity perfect to unwind and de-stress in.

Inhale the scent of huge old gum trees as you enter our magnificent 106 acre horse property. Allow your senses to be calmed as you meander the gently winding 550m sealed driveway toward the stables at the back of the property where you will most likely be greeted by Magnet and Ziggy, the resident border collies.

The accommodation offered is 1 bedroom (queen bed), 1 bathroom, 1 living room in the stables. [+ sofa bed in living room*]. Built in 2017 the rooms have beautiful views to the north, are passive solar heated, very comfortable, clean and insulated. All rooms are separately accessed off the breezeway (please refer floorplan in photos). [*Pricing is for 1 or 2 people using the bedroom. If the sofa bed in the living room is needed there is an additional cost.]

The living room has a wood burner, kitchenette and access out to the herb garden. The kitchenette has a kettle, toaster, electric wok, microwave, single gas ring and fridge/freezer. Instant coffee and a variety of teas are provided; otherwise all food is BYO. There is a TV, although we recommend you immerse yourself in nature and the tranquility on offer and enjoy the country space. Phone reception is patchy.

The bedroom has a queen bed. Bed linen and towels are provided. Also
robes and hairdryer.

We offer therapeutic equine sessions, both for 1:1 and small groups. You may need to share the bathroom with a few clients between 10am-5pm. At night the bathroom is 100% yours. The bedroom and living space is yours all the time. My clients are very aware to respect your privacy and we ask that you respect theirs.

The property runs on standalone solar energy and fresh, filtered rainwater. We ask that you respect the need to be careful with power usage after dark and on overcast days.

The stables are about 330m as the crow flies from the main residence and completely private between dusk and early morning. Activity starts at the stables usually between 7-8am, depending on weather and season.

Your host lives on site and is available much of the time (dependent on client and horse needs).

NOTE: Please respect that we are a non-smoking property.

Eureka Pines is home to two herds of horses, one that offers equine therapy (wellbeing for people) and the second being spellers enjoying their holiday.

You are most welcome to explore the wetland, woodland, adjacent bushland (great for bushwalking). Watch kangaroos hop through the paddocks at dusk, deer are usually present in the very early morning, wombats, lots of birdlife and the occasional turtle and echidna have been spotted on site.

For everyone's safety, please check which paddocks are OK to access on arrival.

It's a beautiful space for artists, writers and those who just want to hole up and recharge in nature.

A perfect, tranquil getaway it the country
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - Soo is a welcoming and knowledgeable host and her dogs Ziggy and Magnet are very friendly and always pleased to see you and get some attention. The apartment rooms are spacious and comfy and well equipped and it's great to have the horses all around too. The property has lots of wildlife on it and we enjoyed exploring it. The property is in a fabulous location and well situated for exploring the local area. We went outside on a clear night and saw more stars that we have ever seen before and a shooting star too. Our stay here was magical and if we ever return to Australia we'll be back for another stay!

Serenity.
What a special place this is. The peace & tranquility was felt as soon as we arrived. The serenity also as we sunk into the space and whiled the day away reading or gazing out and across the large paddock (often with horses gently roaming it) towards the huge gum trees. And how special it felt to be living a few days in such close vicinity to these beautiful horses. Thank you so much for having us, Soo. You were so warm & welcoming and were such a great host in terms of communication throughout. Would love to visit again as it was the perfect break away from the city.

I am a deeply compassionate woman who is very respectful of the land I am custodian of, and I care about all animals on site. I love sharing the spaces we have created, introducing the horses and dogs to you, and spending time in my organic fruit & veg garden.

Why they chose this property

The Highlands are really Gods Country. Spectacular, breathtaking, rolling hills and magnificent waterfalls. There are many walks easily accessible and a plethora of bird and wildlife close by.

What makes this property unique

I know of nothing similar in the area! Where else can you stay in comfort, but have horses beside you? The most common feedback from guests is how tranquil and peaceful our private hideaway is.
