About this property

Newly built 1 bdrm, luxury apartment. Quiet and yet close to everything.

Glass sliding doors open onto the pool area. The perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and meals. Patio with table and chairs. Two lounge chairs to relax and read. This is one of our larger ground-floor apartments; spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. New king bed with 500 thread count sheets. The living room has a sofa bed. A well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops. Free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV. Linens supplied. The central office is only one block away with friendly English-speaking staff to help you with anything you need.
Base rate for 2 people. Extra person per night $30 USD. Non smoking only.

For larger families and groups it is possible to also rent Casa Zarah, a 3-bedroom home, and Casa Catalina #2, a second-floor, one-bedroom apartment. These units share a large lot separated by a wall with a connecting door. Great location, only a two-minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the town square.

This was a very lovely property for our four-day, three night stay. Would love to come back and stay longer. Very nicely decorated. Very responsive staff (there was a confusion on how to lock the door when leaving but was resolved by ops manager immediately). Pool is a little chilly as the deck area does not get a lot of direct sun but this is a very quiet location yet very walkable to all of the beach side of Puerto Morelos. We want to come back and spend a month next time and would choose Abbey del Sol and this particular property if available.

Beutiful Place

Loved this house and the location. It was beautiful and everything was brand new. Over time, I'm sure people will leave condiments and seasonings behind. That was the only thing missing. It was on the edge of the neighborhood and very quiet. Just perfect!

The communal area... kitchen, dining room, living room, several decks and the pool were all great! Happy Hour on the top deck looking at the ocean and many afternoons in the pool after walking the nearby beach and having lunch overlooking the ocean. Would recommend to anyone with the caveat that there are MANY stairs! Mobility could be an issue for some.

The beds were so comfortable that I didn’t have trouble sleeping the first night in a new place. The towels were fluffy. There were plenty of dishes. The pool was clean and a great temperature. The welcome book gave great information. It was on a quiet street. There were restaurants and the beach close by. Bicycles were provided. Every little detail was thought of for a perfect stay. I can’t wait to go back!

Nice place to stay

Overall it’s a nice property. Are there a few things that need attention, sure at least in the unit we stayed. Having a water cooler and coffee was nice touch since there are no close by coffee shops in the heat, by the time you get to one you’re too hot for coffee. We stayed two weeks I would change the part they only fill the coffee and sugar in between stays and not with the weekly cleaning. I understand if you go through it in less than a week having to get your own but multi week stays should be done weekly. If you need darkness to sleep the unit (Casa Cantina 1) this isn’t the unit for you. Blackout curtains in the bedroom would be nice but since there is a door to nowhere with a window above it there is constant light, at night from the property behind us and sunrise right over top at 5am The power went out on our block so the office had power but we were out 15 hours, food spoiled and too hot to sleep plus bored with no games to play under candle light. From what we learned later one couple on our block was moved to the units with power but nobody checked on us, can’t call WhatsApp number without WiFi. The living room door to the pool should have a step, big drop down especially if not paying attention but overall the property is nice and quiet and short walk to town or beach. Would I stay there again yes but a different unit.

The apartment was lovely, exactly as depicted...very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything one could want in the kitchen. The staff at Abbey Del Sol were friendly and helpful every step of the way from booking to check out. The location is a short walk to the best part of the beach. We are seniors and found it too far for a comfortable, leisurely stroll to the town square. However, it is a do-able 20-25 minute walk and very easy by bicycle. Highly recommend for a stay of any duration.
