The house and property are beautiful. This place gives you the best of both worlds; a lazy vacation on the island, and also the ability to visit historic Quebec within 20 minutes. I would book this place again in a heartbeat!
Our family of 6, with 4 young adults, felt right at home. From the moment they walked in, they felt relaxed and happy to be there. The house is very well appointed with all you will need for your stay. We enjoyed lovely walks in the morning down by the water to enjoy a pastry and coffee and sit outside. Great location - we loved coming across the bridge back home after a day of sightseeing.
Beautiful area to begin a family bike trip on Ile d’Orleans! The accommodations were welcoming and comfortable, particularly after a long bike ride. Would most definitely stay here again!
We loved this house! The character, history & location of this home was worth the extra time from Quebec City. The hot tub was great, beds were comfy & showers were hot! We were able to host extra family with great comfort. Our kids enjoyed the many crooks & crannies of this historic home. Thanks so much, we hope to return!
This was a perfect house for our family’s visit to Quebec City. Staying on the Ile d’Orleans was ideal because it was close to the city but was quieter and more spacious. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Our kids really enjoyed having room to play outside, and the hot tub was very nice. This house is right down the street from a nice inn that had a delicious restaurant, and the area around the house is historic and beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay at Masion du Quai. This is a large, older home that has been very well maintained. Check-in was easy and the host was very responsive to questions. The front yard is a good size, but there were a large number of apples on the ground which limited use. We really liked the location and would stay at this property again.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful old house. Despite the cold weather, the house was always cozy and warm and there was plenty of wood for the fire. The kitchen was well stocked and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. There was plenty of space for a family of five and we appreciated having the extra room to use as an office. The house was the perfect base for visiting Old Quebec, the Ice Hotel and Empire 47, where we tried fat biking in the snow for the first time. The island looked really interesting and we’d love to return in the summer to explore the surrounding area.
Staying here felt like being a fairy tale. Our first time on ile d orleans. Gorgeous views and quaint towns. We needed more time for all the vineyards and fruit farms. The house is darling. Hot tub was a treat every night. Host was so responsive to all my questions. Highly recommend. Our kids loved the park and rink at the community center - about a mile walk. The chocolatier was a hit but none of us could finish our dipped cones!
Sitting slightly back from the road but also only a few moments walk to the shoreline, this property has both privacy and easy access to the spectacular views Ile D'Orleans provides of Quebec city and the St Lawrence.
The host was exceptionally kind providing very quick and helpful replies to any questions we had. They also made it very easy for us travellers to settle in with thought given to providing a very comfortable home and all we needed to cook and fend for ourselves. We loved this holiday home and we loved Ile D'Orleans - its people, produce and attractions. Thank you Maxim. We'd love to return.
