We booked last minute and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The cabin was serenely beautiful, complete with amenities, and perfect for unwinding. Our two dogs loved being there, and the walk to Osprey Lake was a highlight. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I’m so happy you have returned to stay with us again and enjoyed your stay. We look forward to you coming again sometime.
Beautiful and peaceful location. Everything you need. ( I definitely over packed! ). Great communication with hosts. Easy check in /out process. Fantastic getaway!
This was a return trip as we enjoyed it so much last year. A short walk to the kettle valley trail, and short drive to chain or link lake. Best part was afternoon naps, late card games, and seeing the deer almost every morning.

Thank you for the wonderful review. So happy you all enjoyed your return stay. Hope to see you in the winter if you come up then. You will love that time of year too. So different and so wonderful with all the snow.
This cabin is pristine, in a perfect location for walking to Lake Osprey and exploring the area. It's beautiful with the best stocked kitchen I've ever had in a VRBO - even had a garlic press! The bed was comfortable, the deck perfect for enjoying the summer thunderstorm. It was a wonderful respite in our camping trip. Highly recommend without hesitation.
Exactly what we needed and lived up to our expectations. Should have stayed longer and we are already talking about going back. Love the trails and the accommodations were superb! What a gem of a spot!
Our stay was exactly what we needed for our getaway. We were extremely happy with the cabin, the pictures dont do it justice. Fully equipt with everything, the only thing we needed to bring was food and clothes. Hosts were super accomodating and commincation was excellent. We will definitely be coming to stay again.

Thank you Bernita for your lovely review. I’m so happy your family had such wonderful Christmas in our Log Cabin.
You were fabulous guests and we would love for you to come and stay with us again.
The cabin was clean, rooms had nice big windows to let airflow, the deck was by far our favorite. Doggo loved the walk to osprey lake recreational site. Well stocked with dishes and cookware.
Had a great stay there for two nights. Everything was clean, had all the necessities to just be able to show up and enjoy a relaxing location.
The view form the open deck was very nice and we spent most of our time out there while at the cabin.
The property also has some train themed items/buildings so that was fun for the kiddo to walk around and see.
Would highly recommend this place.
Super wonderful, private cabin with all the amenities You could ask for! Communication with hosts was quick, easy and helpful! The only thing I would say is that the road that it’s on is a dirt road and in muddy weather some smaller cars might not be able to make it through, but with a truck or larger car there’s no worries! Plus there’s lots of logging roads to go around in that area if that’s your thing!

Thank you for your comments. You are correct. The dirt roads to Peachland and Summerland can be a bit rough but the road crews try to keep them as smooth as they can and plowed in the winter.
So glad you had a good relaxing him there.

Wow!!!!!!!! Like a world travellers magazine article, too good to be true,... esp. for us outdoor adventurers my eldest daughter and I. We wound up also harvesting a couple of deer, we were able to barbeque steaks from each evening. The cabin was Archetectural Digest, in its elegant simplicity and build design quality. Ridiculously, friendly open hearty 'hale fellow well met' hosts Tom and Brenda. Can't say enough! An iconic week for us, memorable forever.
We are a family owned business here in the Osprey Lake area. We have owned our property since 1999 and the Train Station officially opened in 2022. Exploring, fishing and foraging has been a significant part of our lives throughout our time in the Osprey Lake area. Our love for the wilderness made us want to be able to share such an incredible area with people all over the world and give them an opportunity to fall in love with the Thompson-Okanagan nature just like we have.
It is our vision to have people experience the amazing valley we call home while finding time to unwind from the busy everyday life. We hope to see you soon on at the Train Station on your next vacation!
Why they chose this property
Osprey Lake is a serene area located halfway between Princeton, BC and Summerland, BC on the Princeton Summerland Highway. This lake offers many things to do, no matter the season! From lake fishing in spring, summer and fall to ice fishing in the winter, swimming in the summer to wildlife viewing year round, everyone has a good time on or around this Thompson-Okanagan lake! This lake houses some beautiful rainbow trout that take anything from a worm to a chronomid fly.
The Kettle Valley Railway is a historic railway system that stretched over 500 kilometers from Hope to Midway, BC. The railway was constructed between 1911 and 1915 and the last train rode the tracks in 1989. This railway is now a gravel multi-use trail utilized by ATVs, dirt bikes, bicyclists, hikers, snowmobiles, snowshoers, equestrians and everyone in between.
This area boasts some of the most beautiful terrain with colourful wildflowers blooming around every corner in the summer and fantastic snowy scenes during our winters. Fall comes with crisp mornings and beautiful fall leaf colours while spring comes with songbirds singing in the fresh mornings, amazing spring lake fishing and the deer returning!
The Osprey Lake area houses some incredible wildlife that you can see as soon as you step out the door. The variation of wildlife goes from song birds to snowshoe hares to mule deer to moose and everything in between! Whether you are a bird watcher, a fishermen, a hunter or just someone excited to see some wildlife you wouldn’t see in the city, this area is for everyone!
What makes this property unique
For many years we have had a vision of creating a train station themed property where guests could come and immerse themselves within the history of the Kettle Valley Railway. In late 2020 we decided to pursue this dream and began the long journey of building our Caboose Tiny Home and our gorgeous Log Home. After two very long years, we finally had our first guests in December of 2022!
