Summary: Here at Parkhill Place, we want our guests to make themselves at home. Our three-bedroom, two-bathroom home can comfortably accommodate twelve guests. Conveniently located just minutes from groceries, dining options, and the University of South Alabama. If you are interested in exploring the city or having a day at the beach, it’s a quick twenty-minute drive to downtown and forty-five minutes to Dauphin Island. Free WiFi and pet friendly with a fee. We would love to host you!
The Space: Guests will enter through the front door using a digital keypad. Once inside, the living room will be to your left, and straight down the hall will take you to the dining room and kitchen. The living room is comfortably furnished with a queen sofa bed, two armchairs, and a large SmartTV. The dining room opens to the fully-equipped kitchen. The large farm table provides ample seating and the kitchen has all the essential cookware and dinnerware. Down the hall, on the left side of the living room, you will find the bedrooms and bathrooms. The first bedroom features a full bed. The second bedroom has two full beds. The final bedroom has a queen bed, a full bed, and an ensuite bathroom. The additional full bathroom is easily accessible to all guests and fitted with a shower/tub combination.
Guest Access: The house has a digital keypad at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home.
The Neighborhood: Our home is located in a residential area, about one mile from University of South Alabama.
Getting Around: Uber, Lyft, and other Taxi available, but driving is encouraged!
Other Things to Note: We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.
Interaction with Guests: We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free checkin via a digital door code. Just know that we are only a phone call away if ever the need arises during your stay!

Although the neighborhood was quiet, the house was mediocre. There was no privacy in the window- no blinds only sheers! We attempted to use the pull out couch, but the mattress was dirty. We actually saw a roach in the second restroom. The knobs for the cold water was broken in the back bathroom as well. The sink handle located in the second bathroom was also broken. If the owner was to update the home amenities, I believe the experince would have been better.

The VRBO photos are a little outdated.
Some of the beds were lumpy and had a dip in the middle. The main bathroom tub wouldn’t drain on its own, the lever had to be held down to drain. Cleaners closet light was on during the entire visit and there was no way of turning it off, so the light was showing at the bottom of the door at night.
