Zach was very responsive with all of our questions as this was an important event for the family. We appreciated all the amenities and the location was amazing.
Absolutely gorgeous house and property with so much attention to details that really make the stay extra special! We had a great time and would love to return. Location is super convenient to the Burnstown beach and not far to calabogie. Super private with trees all around and stunning views from the upper level. Beds were amazingly comfortable, with lots of pillows and towels provided. Ping-pong table in the basement too!
Zach was quite accommodating and easy to deal with. Very quick to respond when we had any questions. The place was huge and clean. Outdoor spaces were excellent also. Will be back!
We loved the house. Lots of space. Kitchen super well equipped. We hung out a lot on the main floor. The living room with the fireplace was were we all congregated. Thanks for an awesome stay.
Overall it was a great property- we were there for our annual card game with family. With this in mind I would highly recommend the owner change the kitchen chairs - the seats are all sagging

Hey Kathey, Thank you for your feedback. We have gone ahead and replaced all the kitchen chairs with new ones!
The property was amazing. Seamless check in process and Zachary was so quick to respond to any questions I had. The house was large and had everything we needed for celebrating a special birthday. Will definitely book again.
The house was perfect for our family gathering. We needed 5 bedrooms so that was perfect. Nice family room with fireplace. Bedrooms are small but each had a queen bed, king in ensuite. Lots of gathering places: large dining table, family room and front and back porches.
We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful cottage. Amazing time spent with friends, and we were able to bring our 2 dogs which made the weekend extra special.
The location was fantastic! We got delicious pizza from the coffee shop down the street, and it was only a short drive into Renfrew to pickup a few things we forgot. The house was well stocked with all of the amenities you need, and was great for entertaining.
Looking forward to going back some day.
We had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. The owner was quick to get back to us with any questions and our check-in was quick and simple. It was a large, well appointed house, with all the necessary amenities. The pictures on the site were accurate. There were no pictures of the basement so we were a little disappointed to find that the basement was unfinished and the pool and ping pong table were not full size, but everyone young and old enjoyed the house and the weekend very much. We also did not see a B-B-Q listed under amenities and we were pleasantly surprised to find a gas B-B-Q out back by the kitchen. The location was amazing right by the river and with plenty to see within walking distance.
We were 4 families staying here and it was the perfect spot. Proximity to the water was perfect and the Madawaska is a beautiful river. We were in a great location to either go to Renfrew or Arnprior. The house is beautiful. Zack was fantastic to deal with.
A few minor issues we came across:
Kitchen chairs were too worn and uncomfortable.
The grass had been cut but clippings were all over the place making it hard to keep rental clean.
We had to take out the last party’s garbage on garbage day
No “house instructions” left to state garbage day, and other good to know items
There are cameras around the property, not sure if in use or not, don’t mind if they are but tenants should be aware.

Why they chose this property
This home has been the love affair of our family. We are obsessed with the traditional 3-story home design. We were fortunate enough to build a classic design on this beautiful plot of land in the village we grew up in.
The small village of Burnstown is a hidden gem and is what we call home. It offers a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere. The village is home to a variety of local amenities, including restaurants, shops, and cafes, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're looking to relax and unwind or explore the natural beauty of the area, Burnstown is the perfect destination.
Within walking distance, you can visit the Neat Cafe for live music, wood-fired pizza and great coffee! Or the Blackbird Cafe for a classy lunch/dinner in the old general store. On your adventures, you can stop in at various art galleries! Just down the road you can relax at Burnstown Beach and cool off in the Madawaska where crystal waters flow from Algonquin Park.
Within a 10-minute drive up the Madawaska River, you will find yourself in Calabogie. A popular destination for year-round outdoor enthusiasts. Calabogie Peaks for skiing in the winter or Eagles Nest for a stunning hike/lookout. If you are into Motorsports then be sure to check out Calabogie Motorsports Park where you can drive your own car, rent a car, or watch series racing!
What makes this property unique
I fell in love with this property because of the stunning views of the Madawaska River and the steep banks that lead to it. The multiple decks that overlook the river are what truly captured my heart. In the summertime, you can't resist spending time outdoors, whether it's for dinner parties, lounging, or just enjoying a cup of coffee. The decks provide the perfect setting to do all of these things, with the tranquil sound of the river in the background.
Another feature of the house that I adore is the traditional three-story home design. The open floor plan of the main level makes it perfect for hosting gatherings with friends and family. The design allows for a seamless flow from the living area to the kitchen and dining area, making it easy to entertain guests.
The bedrooms upstairs provide a cozy and intimate setting for rest and relaxation. The design offers a separation between the main living area and the sleeping quarters, which provides a sense of privacy and tranquillity.
The house offers the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor living, with its multiple decks and traditional home design. The stunning views of the Madawaska River and the tranquil setting it provides make it the perfect place to call home.
