Refreshing relaxing in spacious peaceful surroundings. Lovely views and very well appointed. Cannot speak highly enough of the stay and the process and Lori was lovely to deal with.

The communication with the manger was very poor. We were not given the instructions of how to get into the apartment and with international phone codes it was difficult to make contact with manger. Fortunately we had an Azzie phone in the group and were able to make contact after an hour of struggle. The day before we were ready to leave, I called and asked for a late checkout (1PM VS 10AM). I was told by the manger that she would answer my request later that day. There was no response. The cleaners came at 10 the next morning and had not been informed of any changes. We had to hurry to get out and then wait in the heat for our ride that arrived at 12:30.

Unfortunately our experience hosting this guest was not a positive one with communication very difficult and requests, such as wanting to pass check in details to the guest's friends who would be arriving before them, leaving us feeling unsure and uncomfortable. However we agreed to this, in the interest of trust and providing a great stay. We did admit out mistake and apologised to Darwin for late check in details; the email we had sent bounced back but we didn't receive the bounce notification for a couple of hours which delayed the rectification. We did respond to Darwin advising that we could give a late check out of 11am (we couldn't offer any later as there was another guest arriving later that day). However, it seems he didn't receive our email or message. Once again contact was very difficult. Our cleaners were upset to find that the guest hadn't vacated the property upon their arrival and I was frustrated that I couldn't contact the guest to discuss the options and situation. I'm sorry that Darwin had a poor experience with us and we shall ensure that we review our communication to be the best possible in future.

I have been in the tourism industry in the Northern Territory for 25 years, having done everything from tour guiding to working for the NT Government helping to market incredible places like Darwin and Kakadu. Oh...and I owned and operated my own tourism business for 7 years.
I love camping, bush walking, bird watching, reading, yoga and a glass of wine with family and friends.
I care about the guests that book my property and hope they love the views as much as I do!

Why they chose this property

Our apartment is in the perfect location! Nestled in the leafy suburb of Larrakeyah, it is a comfortable walking distance to both Darwin City, The Esplanade, Cullen Bay and Mindil Beach! Right around the corner, about 500 metres away, are restaurants, bars, IGA Supermarket and Bottle Shop, cafes, clothes and homewares stores.
Our apartment is beautiful, really. It was built in 2014 and was furnished new in 2021. It's modern, clean, breezy, spacious and beautiful, really!
The view from the balcony and master bedroom over Darwin Harbour, Darwin City and Larrakeyah are a highlight. You can watch the cruise boats, ships, naval boats and recreational vessels as they cruise past all day long!
The 15 metre lap pool as cool, clean and refreshing. With a. number of banana lounges it's a great place to hang out and cool off.
