The chef in the group will appreciate the kitchen's stainless steel appliances and a generously sized island with bar seating that overlooks the dining area. Outside, the charming screened porch serves as an extension of the living area and leads out to a sun deck surrounded by mature trees for plenty of privacy.
Situated on a cul-de-sac in a quiet soundside neighborhood, Moon's Doc provides a secluded location while still being just minutes from shopping, dining and attractions. Two nearby beach accesses are less than ¾ of a mile from the house and both provide free parking. Guests can also take advantage of the town's multi-use path and crosswalk at Hollowell Street for riding bikes to the beach. Jockey's Ridge State Park is within biking distance as well, so be sure to set aside a day to visit this living dune system - the tallest on the East Coast! Climb to the top and fly a kite or simply take in the ocean-to-sound view of Nags Head.

Would not offer to help move booking dates due to a cancelled charter fishing trip due to weather! Would not recommend if you have a fishing trip scheduled!
The property was nice. We did have some issues and concerns but we brought them up with the company and they are handling it. We had a lovely vacation.
The property was great, we only had one snag where the Amazon Fire Stick in the master bedroom and the living room were not working and prevented us from being able to watch anything on those TVs. We called to notify someone on our second day (A Thursday) after trying to troubleshoot it ourselves. The lady in the office was very nice and helpful. We were told someone would likely come by for it the next day as we had called late afternoon that day. I'm not sure how the request was handled from there but we got a text that Maintenance was starting our request on Friday and when we got back that night the TVs were still not working. We didnt bother reporting it again because we were going to be out of the house for most of our remaining trip anyway, however two days later when we made a stop at the house on Sunday, Maintenance was there working on the TVs. We weren't made aware anyone was going to be back at the property that day. The maintenance man was very kind but we told him not to even worry about it at this point since we were going to be checking out the next morning. Luckily this problem was a very minor one for us since we dont use the TVs much anyway, it was just a little frustrating to deal with. Overall the stay was awesome and we'll be keeping this property saved as an option for future trips.

Absolutely wonderful! My friends and I enjoyed our stay very much!
Wanted to show my cousin all the reasons why I love OBX, only had 3 days, but we had a great time. The house is very well kept. My truck fit underneath, which was great with the rain and the heat. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the back entrance toJockey’s Ridge.
Our first impression of the house was mixed.We asked for an early arrival as we had to evacuate our former location due to hurricane Erin. We were informed that this is only possible for a fee of 250 !!! and you have to ask 30 days in advance. There was very old and dirty furniture underneath the house. The house itself was clean and well equipped for our family of 5. The covered patio next to the living room was also not very clean, especially the floor.
This property is a perfect rest from the excitement of the nearby beach and bustling traffic of the Outer Banks. The property has ample parking with both screened and unscreened porches. The combination kitchen, living and dining room offer an open feel that is perfect for a beach vacation. The bedrooms are well-sized with comfortable beds and exceptional storage space. On the extremely small list of complaints, the front screen door is a bit strong, there was a propane grill that was unlisted for use, and the outside shower will require some spider web removal. I will gladly book this property again in the future. It is less than 3 minutes drive to ample public beach access and a quick 10 minute walk to a state park on the bay. There are multiple 3-4 mile running routes for anyone hoping to get a quick workout. Internet service was high speed and accommodated 4 adults easily with zero blackouts. The air conditioning was stellar and kept everyone comfortable. Access grocery stores is less than 10 minutes away with multiple restaurants serving a variety of food.
