About this property

Carolina Cottage-Family friendly cottage in the Outer Banks-Community Pool

Our home is located at mile post 14.5 in the Village at Nags Head Linkside community. Enjoy views overlooking the pond and feeding the turtles in the landscaped backyard, as well as the fairway views from the deck of our Soundside beach home located on the 13th tee of the Nags Head Golf course. Our cozy cottage is comfortably furnished with everything your family will need for a memorable stay at the beach. Located on a on quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the grocery store, shops and restaurants. It's just a short drive to the golf club (additional fees apply), beach club with pool(in season) south on the beach road less than a mile from the house or the private beach access less than 1/2 mile from the house north on the beach road with bath house (passes included in rental). Walk to the sound side park on the water to launch kayaks and canoes or just to view the sunsets. Great neighborhood for biking(bring your own or they can be rented from local vendors)or just enjoy taking a walk.

Community pool near by is available in season May-September.
Available for short stays(2+ nights) after Labor Day and before Memorial Day Weekends. Contact owner for off season monthly winter rates. No additional cleaning fees.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn thermostat to 75 in the summer 65 in the winter. In Spring & Fall turn system off if the weather is mild.
Please wash and put away dishes and take out all trash and dispose of perishable food.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Weekly rentals only from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Short stays and partial week rentals before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.
Cottage is stocked with basic supplies at the beginning of the season please replace as needed.

Carolina Cottage was perfect!! It is exactly as described and Jeanne is the perfect host. She responded to our questions immediately and like a friend. It is in the perfect location to everything. Great Stay

The hosts were very communicative and the house was great for Labor Day Weekend. Lots of wildlife to see over breakfast on the back deck, and great access to beaches and attractions around Nags Head / Kitty Hawk.

Perfect Getaway

What a wonderful house. Really enjoyed my weekend in the Carolina Cottage The owner is absolutely wonderful. She went out of her way to make sure I had a great weekend by sending me a list of things to do and great places to eat. I will definitely be back!!

The house was perfect! The views, the fun layout, activities and games to play during down times and the location right next to the grocery store was very helpful. We were right next to EVERYTHING but still felt like we were on our own little private vacation on a pond and golf course. We still managed to do all the tourist activities we had scheduled and still loved hanging out in the house playing card games, watching TV, eating leftovers, and watching nature from the balcony. The whole check in and check out process was super easy and we were extremely grateful the owner had some beach chairs we could borrow. Definitely staying here again when we come back!

Great way to spend Thanksgiving!

Carolina Cottage Our haven in Nags Head

This home has been our base camp as we prepare for our daughter's wedding this fall. It feels like a second home for our visits.Always clean upon arrival and everything has always been in working order. It is convenient to all the local venues and perfect size for our family of 5.Really enjoyed the lake side view each morning and Jeannes friendly emails checking in our visit is a great touch.This home has been a lifesaver as we progress in our wedding plans. Knowing we have a great home for our visits to Nags Head allows us to focus on our wedding plans.

Our family comes to the Outer banks every year and we absolutely loved this house. It has everything you may need and the location is perfect. We had a blast at the beach and loved the easy access to the pool right after to end our day. Above all we LOVED the turtles!!

Amazing Vacation Rental

The Carolina cottage was the perfect rental house for our Outer Banks vacation.. It has absolutely everything you need, is in exceptional condition with that home like feeling we all love. And if that’s not enough it is perfectly located near everything you may want to do at the Outer banks! The clubhouse and pool were just another added bonus and my kids would never forgive me if I didn’t mention how much we enjoyed the turtle pond. Thank you for a memorable vacation!!

Clean, cozy, and convenient

House was very clean and in a convenient location in Nags Head, easy driving to plenty of restaurants and shopping and not too far from the aquarium. We didn’t cook at all, but there were plenty of dishes and basics, including spices. Beds were comfortable too. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the pond.

Bridal Expo Weekend

This was the perfect house and perfect location for our family for the Outer Banks Bridal Expo weekend. We could not have asked for a more perfect house. It was cozy, comfortable, clean and we experienced easy communication with our host and easy check-in. Nicely decorated with a great view overlooking the pond and13th hole of the golf course. We would love to come back when the weather is warm!

We first came to the Outer Banks on the recommendation of a co-worker in 1989. We fell in love with the area! We visited at every opportunity and finally bought Carolina Cottage in 2004.

Why they chose this property

We love the Village at Nags Head because of the pool that is right on the ocean. We also love the quiet walkable neighborhood. We love the pond in the backyard and the wildlife it attracts. Very private but yet close to shops and restaurants.

What makes this property unique

We believe everyone should have a stress free affordable stay at the beach. A place where you can rest, relax and unwind. We don’t over charge and we try to keep our fees to a minimum. Any profits we make are put back into the cottage to keep it clean, updated and comfortable for our guests.
