About this property

Carolina Cottage-Family friendly cottage in the Outer Banks-Community Pool

Our home is located at mile post 14.5 in the Village at Nags Head Linkside community. Enjoy views overlooking the pond and feeding the turtles in the landscaped backyard, as well as the fairway views from the deck of our Soundside beach home located on the 13th tee of the Nags Head Golf course. Our cozy cottage is comfortably furnished with everything your family will need for a memorable stay at the beach. Located on a on quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the grocery store, shops and restaurants. It's just a short drive to the golf club (additional fees apply), beach club with pool, parking fees may apply (in season) south on the beach road less than a mile from the house or the private beach access less than 1/2 mile from the house north on the beach road with bath house (included in rental). Walk to the sound side park on the water to launch kayaks and canoes or just to view the sunsets. Great neighborhood for biking(bring your own or they can be rented from local vendors)or just enjoy taking a walk.

Community pool near by is available in season May-September. Parking fees may apply.
Available for short stays(2+ nights) after Labor Day and before Memorial Day Weekends. Contact owner for off season monthly winter rates. No additional cleaning fees.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn thermostat to 75 in the summer 65 in the winter. In Spring & Fall turn system off if the weather is mild.
Please wash and put away dishes and take out all trash and dispose of perishable food.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Weekly rentals only from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Short stays and partial week rentals before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.
Cottage is stocked with basic supplies at the beginning of the season please replace as needed.

My kids loved the turtle pond! There was a step stool, high chair, booster seat, and pack n play. It was clean and close to everything. There were sand toys to use at the beach and pancake mix in the pantry so we were able to eat before we even went to the grocery store. We really enjoyed our time at the house.

My younger brother and I had an outstanding stay at this VRBO in Nags Head earlier this month and I couldn’t have asked for a better Outer Banks experience. The home was exactly as advertised—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything our group needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.The location was ideal—easy beach access, and close to great local restaurants, grocery, and shops. Mornings with coffee on the back deck and evenings enjoying the coastal breeze were definite highlights.Inside, the layout worked perfectly for us, offering plenty of space to spread out while still feeling connected. Everything—from the furnishings to the linens—felt fresh and high quality.Overall, this was a fantastic stay in Nags Head. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, getaway in the Outer Banks.

This place was perfect from before we got there, through our stay and beyond. Everything was as promised. For us, the real treat and surprise was the simple things: beach chair, bbq grill, turtles in the overlooking pond, under home car port, dvd player, and great shower pressure. We first came to the Outer Banks on the recommendation of a co-worker in 1989. We fell in love with the area! We visited at every opportunity and finally bought Carolina Cottage in 2004.

Why they chose this property

We love the Village at Nags Head because of the pool that is right on the ocean. We also love the quiet walkable neighborhood. We love the pond in the backyard and the wildlife it attracts. Very private but yet close to shops and restaurants.

What makes this property unique

We believe everyone should have a stress free affordable stay at the beach. A place where you can rest, relax and unwind. We don’t over charge and we try to keep our fees to a minimum. Any profits we make are put back into the cottage to keep it clean, updated and comfortable for our guests.
