nice location, bit of road noise handy to the lovely town of Richmond
place was ok, had the a far bit of road noise, lacked thing like salt and pepper and the basic compliments for cooking when your away and oven was very basic, bed was awesome
We enjoyed our stay it’s a lovely location with stunning rural view. Beds were comfy & the hot water hot. The geese in the vines kept us amused. We brought our own coffee machine with us but apart from that everything was supplied.
First impressions of this property were not great, but once we got inside it was lovely! Comfy beds and nice cozy clean place. Outside however was a different story. Grass was not mowed, garden overgrown, an old car parked there making us think someone was at the house, the yard is a mess, verandah half overgrown by the fig tree. This all made us think we’d pulled up at the wrong place at first. But we still enjoyed our stay it’s in a lovely spot.

Tired, dated & untidy
Property had a stale smell & felt like someone was living in the house which made me very uncomfortable. Yard & decks were untidy; pantry, fridge & freezer had half eaten food & condiments. Apart from lounge area, furniture & fittings were tired, old & dated. Bathroom & kitchen very dated & untidy, cupboards full of junk & old chux left in sinks & window furnishings old & faded. Owner was very obliging & provided refund.

Hi Mark
I am so sorry the property did not leave to your expectation. We maintain a high standard cleaning and your reviews are unjustified. We provide a cottage living experience in a working farm and all our furnishing were chosen for the farm living experience,: paintings, fireplace, leather couch, farm style dining table, etc. Beds are all king size with great quality mattress. All pictures posted are an authentic representation of the place: farm experience, light and airy, and great outlook. The decks were swept prior to your arrival. The garden were trimmed and cut just a week before. We also run a natural farm without the use of chemicals onsite so we don't have manicure lawn beyond our cottage garden fence. In the pantry and fridge, we only provide tea, coffee, sugar and other essentials. We provide a home away from home so we have curated all great books for guests to enjoy, toys for kids to play when they stay, kitchen essentials for you to cook. These things make our guests feel at home, but I am sorry you feel it is untidy. We thrive on providing the best service and experience and our guest satisfaction is the most important to us. Thus if the experience guests are looking do not match what we provide, we won't charge for our service, though we are not obliged to do so. We only treat our guests with respect and kindness.
Kind regards,
Anne
