Great location
Great location, 10-15 minute walk to the.village. The unit itself is old with a few minor upgrades. Modest kitchen appliances and had very limited kitchen accessories which were also very old, if you plan to cook bring your own pots and pans and cooking tools. Theres only 1 master bedroom with an insuite bathroom which is located downstairs. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom downstairs has one bathroom to share that is not connected to the rooms. The 4th bedroom upstairs also is not a master, the bathroom is located outside the room located next to the kitchen. Jacuzzi is not close, its on the opposite side of the complex. Overall the stay was fine, comfortable. i thought was a bit overpriced for the age and layout but thats the location premium. We traveled with kids of all ages and they could do the walk without a problem. Just be sure to rent your store your gear at the lodge which makes walking to and from the village easy. Fireplace and heaters work great, there was no shortage of hot water for showers. And it was great to have a laundry unit inside the condo, its located in the 2nd bathroom downstairs.

Dated and Dirty
I stayed in this property with five other adults for five nights. The pictures make the unit appear both larger and nicer than it is. Most of the furniture was worn out and dated. The unit was dirty, crumbs on the couch and floor. Plates, dishes, silverware were all dirty and we had to hand wash before using. Grand Welcome was poor at communication as property manager. When you call them it goes to a call center and they do not get back to you with answers. Compared to other rentals I have used in the past, we were supplied with only a few basics. Two small packs of dishwashing detergent, two packs of laundry detergent, two rolls of paper towels, and three trash bags, which was not much for a five-night stay. We called Grand Welcome and they said we would have to go grocery shopping if we needed more. Not what I would expect when paying over $1400 per night. While I was not there with family myself, I would also not recommend this unit for a family trip. The neighbors renting in other units were all younger and partied late into the night so it was loud as you share a wall with a unit on each side. Only plus was the location near the village. Would not stay here again as this was a misleading and disappointing rental for the high price that is paid.

It's The Little Things That Make a Great Experience.
Vrbo lists the condo as "ski in/ski out" & "right off the slopes"- it is NOT either - unless they mean you don't have to drive your car to the mountain. Transportation to the Canyon Lodge (nearest) is provided by bus (free) or one can walk to the Village Gondola (about 7 to 8 min. - not recommended). Vrbo only posts photos taken with a very wide-angle lens – misleading, as it makes small spaces look spacious. The condo was listed as “mid-century modern” – accurate, I suppose, but basically meaning the furniture in the main living area was very dated and well past it’s prime. Communication with property manager Grand Welcome left a lot to be desired. We were given incomplete and incorrect instructions for checkin as well as the wrong router name and password for the wifi. Small things: I have always felt that it is the sum of the small things that make for a great experience. There were numerous small items on the negative side. For example: Inoperative ice maker (yes, it was turned on). NO salt and pepper to be found. We did find a salt & pepper set, empty. The saltshaker had no bottom stopper to hold salt and the pepper grinder was missing the critical parts to use. I could go on but 1500 characters is not enough room for a full review of our experience. VRBO and Grand Welcome may email me and I will be happy to provide an extended report of our stay.
