The house was great and very convenient to the ski slopes. The kitchen was well appointed for preparing meals for our group of 11. We had a great family vacation.
Super responsive host. Great house with so much to do. Shuttle was fantastic way to get to the resort activities. We had 3 kids, 2 dogs, and 8 adults and this house was perfect for our weekend.

Perfect get away
The house was beautiful. Had everything we needed. The views were amazing. Would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed our family trip to Sugar Mountain! Great house, plenty of room. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the deck. Convenient location to the places we wanted to visit.
The house is as listed. The kitchen had everything we needed. It has a wonderful balcony with a beautiful view and was close to everything we wanted to visit. The downstairs is the game room and has one bedroom. The kids loved playing down there and watching tv. We would definitely stay there again.

Great for kids
Plenty of beds and bedrooms ! We had 6kids in our group and there was So much space to run around! Never felt like we heard too much of them lol Excellent vacation home. Loved the views from the deck
This was a perfect location to get to skiing, tubing and skating. We used the shuttle to get to the ski resort which picked us up a short walk from this location. It saved us from driving on snowy roads and avoiding trying to find parking.
We had a great time staying in Boone for the weekend for our ski trip. The house was the perfect size for us and reasonably priced. We loved the game room downstairs and the ping pong table in the garage. We would stay here again
Enjoyed our snowy stay at the property, very clean and had everything that we needed. Communication from the homeowner was great, kept us well informed of the conditions. Getting to the slopes was easy via the shuttle. Would stay again!
Overall the stay was great and location is key. Host was great. I do believe that cleaning needs to be reviewed with special attention to main floor restroom and the beds. Several beds had long pet hair, understanidng that it is a pet friendly rental.
Our stay was fantastic. The property was clean and as advertised. It was very big and gave our family plenty of space to spread out. Communication with Gerardine was great. I highly recommend staying here!!
Unexpected surprise to have a pet friendly yard on top of a mountain! House is larger than the pictures depict in the listing; the spaces are well appointed and functional. The owner has put a lot of thought into amenities and layout making the stay very comfortable and relaxing. Loved the game room and ping pong table. The deck was great and the views at sunset stunning- thanks for having a working BBQ grill. Will definitely be back in the future.
A great spacious house for a weekend at Sugar Mtn. Easy parking, dog friendly, everything we needed for a family gathering. Wonderful view of the mountains. Will definitely return. Have made a trip to Sugar Mtn for last 4 years and this house is our favorite.
Ideal location to Sugar Mountain Resort, easy drive or shuttle access to slopes from front door. Host was most helpful and suggested restaurants and activities for grandchildren. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable sleeping and fun game room and TV on lower level for kids. Great place for family memories! Highly recommend!

Raddest view on Sugar
Great for kids and pets! Loved having an actual yard the kids could play in instead of a steep drop that would have confined them to inside.
Cabin is spacious and comfortable, but OMG the amount of dog hairs in the rugs! We had to vacuum and filled the vacuum cleaner canister two times!

Response from VrboOwner on 16 September 2025
From the owner: “We’re glad this guest found the cabin spacious and comfortable. While our home is pet-friendly, we take cleanliness seriously and have already taken extra steps to ensure a deeper clean between stays. We appreciate the feedback, as it helps us maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment for all future travelers.”
This was the perfect getaway for our family! From the beautiful setting to the variety of games/activities, we couldn't have asked for more.
Communication was amazing (they even let us know the house was ready earlier in the day than scheduled) and check in was a breeze. The house was clean, fully equipped with everything we needed, and, well, perfect.
The design of the two levels allowed for people to be able to enjoy a variety of activities - from playing PacMan to playing Ping Pong to reading our on the deck (with the best view and sunsets that were stunning).
We can't wait to go back!

simply amazing
We go to the mountains quite often, and this house is the best so far! It has a great plan which accommodates a big company, has PLENTY of features, including a steam shower. The grill had enough gas too (it is not uncommon that we take care of gas, was not needed this time). There were a couple of logistical hiccups, but I assure they were managed smoothly, so the support is great. The location of the house is perfect, close to all attractions and the slopes. We did enjoy our stay and we will be back for sure.
Our family of 5 loved this property. The large main living room has an incredible view of the mountains and we were able to come together and enjoy beautiful sunsets each evening in front of the fireplace. This space also let us watch movies together in the evenings after hiking, snowboarding or sight seeing in the surrounding towns. The living spaces are on multiple levels which allowed the family to spread out as needed. The game spaces gave us an opportunity to enjoy playing cards, games, PAC Man, and ping pong. Highly recommend this property and plan to stay here again if we venture back to Sugar Mountain in the future.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!
This house was absolutely perfect for our family of 7 and even allowed enough room for our friends to come over for dinners and board games. We had a blast!
The house was better than I could have imagined from the listings, it's not that anything is wrong with the pictures it's just that a lot of times the pictures aren't what you get when you arrive.
This house is spotless from top to bottom. The walls and ceilings were freshly painted, and everything was as advertised.
The steam shower / sauna in the basement was AMAZING!!!
